isnt fun to watch real ,productive QBs in action, when all we do in Chicago is hang our hats on our defense.

well will see some QBs coming out of college. I think Joe Burrows is the most Brady like QB I have seen. Not just the way he plays but also how he carries himself. Just saying.

A lot of hindsight going into any of this. I don’t believe a single person would have been happy with any of the three, nor do I think any rope would be given to any of them.

It’s almost like the most important position in sports is the hardest to scout.

Again it is just my opinion will see how it pans out in about 3-5 years. :)

I’m talking in general. There’s nothing to suggest that Watson or Mahomes would play the way they do now if they played in Chicago. The same with Trubisky in KC or Houston.

Did you watch Watson in at least both the Alabama/Clemson championship games?

If so which North Carolina.game were you watching where you thought Trubisky was better than Watson??

Before I answer that, could you first point me to where I said Trubisky was better than Watson?

Yes, we know that now. Not a single one of us could have possibly known the gap would be this wide on draft day. That’s the point.

I did going back to draft day but I don't want to rehash all that now. You can read my posts on that subject here for the last 3 years going back to that draft day.

Brady was average at best in college. Drafting the "next Brady" is a real luck of the draw.
You’re so right. If the greatest QB ever was a 6th round draft pick, you may as well put a bunch of names on a board and throw a dart.

Burrow’s dad played at Nebraska and was on staff with Frank Solich at Ohio U. That’s where Joe cut his teeth....as a coach's son. He has always lifted his teams through his leadership and toughness. He was in a real battle last year to be the starter at OSU with Haskins.

Urban and Day chose Haskins and JB chose to go elsewhere. Funny thing is, if he stayed in Columbus and was the starter this year we never would have gotten Fields. Pretty good trade for all involved I’d say.

Stripes,

I am in no way good and picking draft picks but this one I felt very strongly Tribisky was at best a second round pick.
tbh, I didn’t think Pace had the balls to draft a QB. Obviously, his choice has not worked out, but I’ve always applauded him for pulling the trigger.

I mean in that he identified his guy (right or wrong), and did what he could to get him. IMO, the aggressiveness was good.

I get it and agree. It's just he picked the one guy in the entire draft I wanted no part of him.

He selected fools gold and gave away draft picks along with it.

I agree. I would say smart move for Joe.

Worst part of that story for Husker fans is they could have had Burrow TWICE, but they passed on both opportunities.

Pace is the Chase Daniel of upper management. Failure is etched into his DNA.
