... but something of interest in his novella today concerning facilities. He indicated that there's been a price tag established for the football only facility that Mullen wants at $20 million; that some newer renderings of the stadium expansion are going to be available today which are apparently not like what was leaked earlier; and all of the above has the interest of the higher ups and money people. He also affirmed that the architectural firms making the plans are reknowned (and not Foil Wyatt-types) and have a solid resume on this type of work.

Sounds like it's on for raising money and getting some facilities plans in place.

Two questions:
Anybody with a camera phone near the Bryan Building today?

Also, why now - is this pre-emptive to start keeping Mullen in place and keeping the momentum moving ahead rather than the previously-thought time frame of next year?

only facility. We just totally renovated and built a very nice facility. I don't understand where we can build something else in the limited space we have that will be better aesthetically than what we already have. If this is in the plans then it is a major waste of money. It sucks we don't have the setup that Ole Miss has as far as everything being right there, but we are fine with what we have now. If the end result of this is us building another freaking indoor facility then Croom should have to pay us back for expanding the Palmeiro Center to include a football field. do look forward to seeing the stadium renderings though.

Mullen wants a building between the palmeiro center and shira. He wants to be able to interact with the players more and see them more.

I've heard the new renderings and long term plan for the Stadium are amazing.

I've heard that if you hit a ballinto mullen's office, it will be 5 run homer.

Im just talking the general area of where I was told it was talked about being built.

..I thought the logical thing to do was to move our decrepit track facility to to that location and simply build a football IPF right behind Shira.

In any case, I just think Mullen wants a football only facility with coaches offices so that he can get away from the
Bryan Building and let loose with his potty mouth.

LSU had a huge facility built for football only that had like 5 theatre style film rooms, training rooms, massage, etc..

I know we dont have the budget they do, but we have to "keep up with the Joneses" to the best of our abilites.

Sounds like Smoot needs to have another Boats and Ho's party and make it a fund raiser.

Pretend to know a little bit of inside info, leak the tiniest of details, then wait until the rest of the media speak on it first, then Murray will act like he knew all along. Just last week he proclaimed that after the Alcorn crowd, an expansion was not needed at this time and even threw out 2014 before we need one. He realizes how ignorant he was for it now and wants to change his tune. That's all I make of his comments.

If we want recruits to love our facilities and WANT to come play for us, don't you thinkhavingseperate football facilities would be a good start?

Let me ask you this, if we could spend money elsewhere to help improve our football program, where would those funds be spent?
