...take out Florida in the quarters and I think you're in. Would they be the likely opponent? Get Vandy after thatand win and you're an absolute mortal lock but even just getting there and playing Vandy adds a little RPI boost and you're better than even in my book to get in even with a loss there.

Beat AU and lose to Tennessee, it might take 2 SECT wins. If this has been hammered out elsewhere on the board?...oh well.

We have to win 2 games to have a shot at the tourney and 3 to be sure. I think Mississippi needs 3 wins period. </p>

that wewill add a couple top 50 RPI wins to our resume. Any idea how having to play LSU this Thursday will affect their rpi?

We need to beat AU and UT. Do that, and we are in by winning one in Nashville. We will open with the winner of E4 (FL/Tenn) and W5 (Bama/AU). Tenn finishes with us and Ark -- we most likely see Florida (who finishes with Vandy and UK)as E4.

If we don't beat UT, we need to win at least 2 in Nashville, because the second game will probably be against Vandy. If Vandy is upset by W3 (Ark/UM) or E6 (UGa/SCar), then we have to win the title, since we still need a win against a Top 50 team, and only Vandy would provide that before the title game.
