They are having a season far better than most rebels would have guessed. Bowl eligibility is on the line against their in-state rival in a home game. Its the most important game of the year. They want to win this Egg Bowl worse than any other in modern history.

And a plethora of tickets are available.

Guess the headlines aren't big enough to attract interest.

Texas was a bigger draw for them on the off chance somebody could snap a pic with Matthew McConnahaaayy.

What a bunch of apathetic pricks.

Yeah, expand Vaught Hemmingway. It is important that the advertised stadium capacity stays in front of Davis Wade Stadium.

Wasn't there some prick on here blasting MSU for sending back tickets?

Why give 75 bucks a pop for them when you can now call and get them cheaper?

How apropos.

Did I do that correctly? I only had a 3.8 in engineering at an Ag school, so I may have done that incorrectly. I wasn't wearing a scarf (ascot?), bow tie, or loafers either...nor was I eating "caviar" from the piggly wiggly. Damn, I guess that means I did it wrong.

On a side note, every time I hear the word plethora, I think of this:

Jefe: I have put many beautiful pinatas in the storeroom, each of them filled with little surprises.
El Guapo: Many pinatas?
Jefe: Oh yes, many!
El Guapo: Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?
Jefe: A what?
El Guapo: A *plethora*.
Jefe: Oh yes, you have a plethora.
El Guapo: Jefe, what is a plethora?
Jefe: Why, El Guapo?
El Guapo: Well, you told me I have a plethora. And I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is. I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has *no idea* what it means to have a plethora.
Jefe: Forgive me, El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education. But could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?

And they are even favored to win...

...looking at the odds' websites yesterday, the rebs are favored -1. Freeze has them favored in his first Egg Bowl. I thought that's why they hired Freeze. There should be 80,000 reb-bear fans clamoring for tickets. Maybe they haven't caught Egg Bowl fever yet. It's only Monday. But I agree: Every element is in place for them. It should be a hard sellout as of right now.

The Pig sells caviar? Which one? Rosedale's sells chitlins. Much more southern.

yes it is pathetic

How in the world are the Rebels favored? Miss. State gets no respect from Vegas.

Only 4,000 tickets sold by Miss. State is pathetic. Mullen has to be very disappointed.

What exactly has MSU done to get any respect from Vegas? They beat a lot of bad teams and got blown out by the only good teams they played. Ole Miss hasnt done much better, being blown out by a so-so texas team and Georgia, but at least they have had a pulse in games vs Bama, LSU, and A&M. Add the fact that its at Ole Miss means it should be a pick game and it is.

I agree with you, but you cannot judge by how you look in games.....

It's wins or losses, man. Ole Miss didn't get anyone's best shot. We got just about everybody's best. At least we did with Alabama and LSU. This 'almost' winning and moral victory is **** and for losers.

I didnt say anything about almost winning. I said had a pulse. MSU was completely embarassed in the BAMA and TAMU games. Vegas does take what you look like into account whether you want them to or not and by looking at the games, the only thing keeping this from being a 7-10 point spread in favor of the rebs is that there is no depth on the defensive side of the ball and Ole Miss tends to wear down and give up a score or 2 late.

Who gives a damn about who had a pulse and who didn't. Hell, if you want to use that logic, how about that cripple fight Ole Miss had against Arky? Look, bottom line, win or lose, MSU is going to a better bowl than the Bears, provided the Bears win and even make a bowl, Chad.

Of course you are going to say that. Just like Ole Miss did in 2009 when they went to the Cotton bowl. Also, you had Ark at home and looked pathetic in the first half. We were in Little Rock, a place even most MSU fans say is a ridiculously difficult place to play and came out with a win. If you really need to see a team suck though please look at your Bama and TAMU games, that was truely pathetic.

Blah, blah, blah, bleh, bluh, bleh, bleh......Auburn had a Bear by the nuts for 3 quarters, too. Got to spin in like the spinners, Chad.

Did they ever lead in that game? I honestly dont remember but I dont think so. I do know we beat them handily. Ark on the other hand had you down by a couple scores. Now for that last part, Im not even sure what your are trying to say there, but I really dont expect much from you since its obvious that all you want to do is flame and be a dick.

I understand your predisposition to style and press conference victories.

We're more about wins around here.

If you are going to **** on MSU for looking "pathetic" in a game we won 45-14, then you get no moral victory credit in the A&M and Vandy games that Mississippi flat out choked away at home at the Vaught Hemorhoid. And congrats on that 15 second lead you had on Bama. I'm sure that nail biter turned their season around. Does Freeze get half a national championship?

Hell yeah. They were beating the Bears 17-14 just before the half. Then they just quit. I'm sorry that all I'm doing is flaming, Chad. But what is it exactly that you are doing? So what if Arky had MSU down?

Did State not come back and pound them pretty convincingly? Much more convincingly that the Bears' little punk field goal to keep them from going into overtime with one of the worst teams in the SEC? Let's not even begin talking about the **whispering** "Vandy" game....

I have done nother but state facts, even stating exactly what most of your own fans did during that Ark game. You are the one trying to go after me personally, and using my real name is interesting, but not sure what you are trying to accomplish. I will give you my last name and where I live too if you want it.

Who is asking for "moral victory credit"? I have already mentioned in some thread on here that we wear out in the 2nd half and have lost some games we probably shouldnt have because of it. Unfortunately thats the team we have right now and we have to get more bodies with some talent and experience to change that. I even qualified that Ark game as being pathtic in the first half, and if you watched that game you would agree.

Okay ....

. Ark on the other hand had you down by a couple scores. Sorry I'm a dick.

State led 7-0
Ark scored to make it 7-7
Ark scored again to make it 7-14
State reeled off 38 unanswered points to make the final 45-14
Arkansas NEVER led by a "couple of scores"

I 'fixed' last part of your quote.

I already know. Only a stupid dipshit would use the same username on every profile in this day and age of computers, especially when you want to act like a toolbag on a message board.

I digress. All you are doing is insinuating that Ole Miss is superior to State because you somehow caught LSU, TAMU, and Bama on a bad day while State got their pud pounded by them. If you don't expect someone to give his own opinion on that then you are just clueless. Further, if your games against Vanderbilt and Arky don't concern you in the least little bit, then by all means, savor the moral victories.

I also said he was obsessed on foom, so it doesn't feel hipocritical.

Looking up ticket sales at an opposing stadium and then posting a big diatribe about it not being a sellout a week before the game seems a little obsessive don't you think?

Where did i say his wasn't? Although, seeing that it concerns our team, it really isn't. However, yes, posting on an opponent's board about people being obsessed is hypocritical. I could understand if the post was on Foom but obviously, that is not the case.
