We do the same damn thing every trip down the court; it's not difficult to predict our offensive movement

We're gonna run the screen-and-watch offense or the pee-wee handoff motion for a few seconds. Or we are gonna be totallymotionless and jack it. He does know exactly what we are gonna do. So just put Henry on Bost, everyone else cover their man while they just stand there, and we're 17'ed.

I guess Stans deserves to be fired for letting UK get ahead of us in that category.

For my money if that is what a stand around and predictable offense does then keep up the good work!

Griping about our defense is understandable but griping about offense is ridiculous.

The two games that contribute most greatly to that are the 2 games we decided not to play defense; getting blown out @Ark and letting Auburn score 35 more than their average.

But I'm sure you'll still be smiling when UK beats us 100 to 70.

18-5 and ranked, I wish that all of the other sports at MSU could live up to the samemediocrity as our bball program.</p>

In conference games, we're 3rd in the league in FG%, 3rd in assists, and 2nd in scoring offense. All this while rarely ever getting multiple points in transition, we really play a slow tempo half court game and still have outscored everyone but UK. We also don't have the most effective element of modern offense, which is players that can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim, so we're being pretty efficient on offense. <div>
</div><div>Defense is where we're struggling, 12th in the conference in scoring D and 11th in FG% defense.</div><div>
</div><div>Your "trained eye" must not notice the ways we been getting Moultire the ball with block to block screens, slice cuts where he goes from the top of the key and gets a screen around the elbow, or how many times he's scored off of a screen and roll. If you haven't noticed, Moultire's not very adept at scoring if you just throw it to him while he's stationary with his back to the basket, but we've done a good job lately of creating ways to get him the ball in better position with momentum towards the basket, often with a mismatched defender b/c of a screen.

Games where you score a lot of points should't count statistically if you give up a lot of points? Or, are you saying that we play poorly on offense but we score a lot because we play bad defense? Neither of these make any sense or are supported by other offensive stats that have been already shared (fg%, 3-pt %).

The sentiment that was being expressed was that our offense is sub-par. I am merely pointing out that the stat sheet does not support that conclusion. I mean after all, we are among the conference leaders in scoring, FG% and 3pt FG% . So help me out here. Isn't putting the ball in the goal as often as possible and as efficiently as possible the objective of an offense?

And no I will not be happy if we lose to UK 100-70 but here again that speaks to DEFENSE not OFFENSE.

We also know exactly what Ole Miss is going to do. They are going to chuck up bricks and bad shots then crash the boards and try and get putbacks. Cut off their offensive rebounding and it will be a blowout. We also know that if hand checking and bumping are called then it will be a blowout.

I wonder how many wins Henry has against MSU?

The only way we can cut down ole miss's offensive rebounding is to not run a zone against them. That's why they got so many last game. We weren't in it the entire game but they would not have gotten as many.I might be remembering wrong, but I think that'sright. I was drinking that night, I believe.

6 points on 2-9 shooting. He finishes his career 2-6 against MSU. Didn't walk the walk.

Great tweet by Sidney.
