If they can run the ball they can beat Texas.

I would say that Texas does have a knack of bouncing back after a loss like this but damn they look dismal.

I still think texas wins at home. OM didnt exactly look top 10 themselves tonight. If OM wins, I think freeze becomes candidate for Texas job. He runs exciting offense and can recruit at OM which isn't texas

Could certainly happen. OM will be facing a team that has a HC and DC coaching for their job. I think texas either comes out strong or terrible with no in between.

Interesting thought. Somewhat of a long shot, but could happen.

I don't think OM will beat Texas because I don't think OM can run the ball. OM's o-line is marginal, and they are more of a finesse running team than power running team. If you watched the BYU game last night, BYU was very physical in their running attack and was running over Texas defenders. Jeff Scott just isn't the same type of back.

I don't think it was a BYU offense thing so much as it was a Texas defense thing. The QB for BYU had a bum knee and still ran for 200+. I only got to watch a part of it, but fundamentally Texas' defense is a disaster. As well as Bo has been running the read lately, we can get into a shootout and who knows what happens then,

That said, I expect David Ash to have a Heisman performance against our baby CBs because it's the Ole Miss thing to do. Then he'll return to being mediocre.

I agree. If ash and daje Johnson are ready to go, I think texas wins. Beating texas with a physical team in high altitude is easier than beating them with a finesse team in Austin. Maybe...

Texas will have their eye on one man and they're the only school with deep enough pockets to get him.

I think saban would turn them down. If freeze wins this game, he becomes a candidate IMO. Wasn't freeze in the TX papers for stealing a UT recruit?

I think Saban will retire from Alabama. He's in legacy building mode and has been for the last 4-5 years. People have been saying he's leaving ever since he got there. It's just wishful thinking.

Yep. Saban isn't leaving Bama to go to another program.

If he leaves it'll be for the nfl IMO. A coach as successful as he has been has to wanna give the pros another shot. Surely he wants to avenge himself

Unfortunately I agree

He is now in the conversation with Bama fans as possibly being better than the Bear. Don't think he isn't going to do everything in his power to cement that claim

I think his goal is to tie or break Bryant's record 6 national titles. He's got 4 so far.

Why would they want a girl's basketball coach? You guys think Freeze is a great coach all of a sudden? Only great coaches would be Texas' targets

The last coach they hired was a certified clown - Mack Brown.**

Do you think Mullen is a great coach?

Oel Miss fans sure as hell throw his name out there for every job opening that comes up

Exactly. People who think Texas would consider Freeze are bananas. He's done nothing to warrant that type of consideration.

It's his dream job until someone writes him a bigger check. Tubs was gonna leave there in a pine box, too.

I think we've shown in the past we would pay as much as nearly anyone. Not to mention his expectations would be much lower at Ole Miss than another big school.

So if texas offered the 5 million they pay Mack brown, OM would match?

OLE MISSS LOST IT 2 ALL SEC PLAYERS IM MORRIS Nkmedechie. Wallace is about 70 % and you claim that's how things work out. you are right sir Ole Miss always has to deal with injuries. And TEXAS is not suppose to be a bad team considering vegas had their over and under for total wins set at 10 1/2 .

He left the Fins, not the other way around. He is done on that level. The idea of the NFL being a destination for all head coaches is less and less popular. 30 years ago, every coach wanted an NFL gig, now, with the money and total control in NCAA, not every coach wants that. Sure, 9 out of 10 still do, but it's not for everybody.

Texas probably wouldn't be interested in hiring a known recruiting cheater that lies to players about redshirting, lies to walk-ons about scholarships, and blatantly uses players that have no chance of qualifying to gain the signature of highly sought after players. Besides that Austin probably doesn't offer the nightlife or the type of girls that Hugh likes to use sway the big time kids. Now that I think about it, I don't think UT and Hugh Freeze are a good fit....not happening.****

Since Oklahoma st brought the prostitute recruiters into the big 12, texas has to keep up. They found out OM is the premiere prostitution recruiting institution in the country so HF is a candidate. Plus texas was so soft last night they figured Hugh's experience coaching women would be a huge asset.****

Everything points to Ole Miss winning this game which is why I would bet

on Texas. I think it is going to be a high scoring affair.

I think Texas will score as much as they did last year on Ole Miss, however Ole Miss might be able to match them due to both teams defenses being somewhat craptastic. Now that I've said that Texas will win 3-2.

I wonder if Texas fans are gushing with giddy little school girl like glee over the reb-black bears upcoming visit?

Bad Texas team and Ash and top rb injured. Amazing how things work out.

I just can't see us beating Texas. I want it to happen, obviously, but I just don't see it. I think Texas will regroup and come out guns blazing vs. us. Plus, they will have some confidence since they blasted us last year.

With Bo still not looking great (albeit he is still making plays even when getting bailed out by great catches), the OL being average at best (and young), and it being in Texas, I see us losing by 10-14 points.
