Did yall read this? Who are these US soccer fans that don't love Dempsey? I have thought he was one of our best (if not our best - he and Donovan should really be considered 1A/1B) player for a long time now.

He's my favorite American player and I would've said he was our best field player until Donovan's stint at Everton. Still pretty close, like you said.

Maybe 3 or 4 years ago when he didn't produce alot for the MNT, but those days are long gone. It is just espn trying to stir things up like the Rossi article

I don't dislike him but he frustrates the hell out of me. He obviously has tons of talent but to me he comes across as someone with an attitude problem who tends to sulk and disappear from the game when things aren't going his way.

but that is more because of the way Bradley uses him. I think a big cup for Dempsey could see him getting some offers from the big boys this summer.
