Sorry to grab everyone's attention with my headline but my sister just verballed to the Rutgers Women's Track and Field program tonight. So proud of her and hope she accomplishes B1G things while On the Banks. I believe she is the first commit for Class of 2016.

Congrats Veiox on your sister's wise decision. I'm trying to get my niece to go to Rutgers she's class of 2020 but it's never to early to start. She's a junior nationals medal winner in swimming. Right now I'm up against Stanford, Auburn and penn st.(ugh).

Let's be honest you're not sorry for that attention grabbing headline. You're an *sshole for doing that but nonetheless congratulations to your sister, yourself, and your family. I'm sure the rest of the board shares this sentiment .

Great for your sister. Hope she has a wonderful time on the banks and does well on the field.

wrong forum - this is the rutgers football board. mods please move to the wrestling, baseball, soccer, lax, and more board
Shark...,
Be careful what you ask for. The mods may well move something off this board that you least expect.

Is she a 4star recruit? The peanut gallery only likes 4 and 5 star recruits.

BTW congrats to your sister. It's a great accomplishment getting a full ride to play the sport that she loves.

I'm wondering if RU swimming isn't recruiting NJ. A close friend of the family's daughter just committed to PSU for swimming and never even took a visit to RU. She finished 2nd in the 500 free in the states last year and is ranked in the top 15 nationally for the same event.

Anyway, congrats to OP's sister! As an RU track alum I love hearing news like this

Congratulations. That is great to hear. Although I was a D-2 Cross Country runner I did receive a partial scholarship and it was such a thrill for me and my family. I remember it forever. I wish your sister nothing but luck and a happy & healthy career at Rutgers.

Congrats. It was clear that she had some very good options and elected to stay home and represent the Great State of NJ. We need more like her. I'll be following her career and hope she achieves her full potential both athletically and academically.

Thanks, she was being recruited by all of the Ivies except one. She struggled with that decision because when the #1 school wants you it got real but she wants to represent our great state U both academically and athletically and start a new trend for RU in the B1G.

Congratulations! We are thrilled to have her. Your dad used to share all of her accomplishments with us, and I am so happy things worked out so well for him and her and you - an RU family all the way. I think he even shared photos of her sporting her RU gear.

Congrats! My wife ran at RU back in the day. The team was the smartest, closest group on campus.
