He is a soft verbal to UT, but is looking around. Mullen has made contact with him and I believe he is interested in MSU and is possibly planning an official visit. He's 6-4 and 345 pounds. Exactly what we need on the line. We do have a lot of ground to make up with him.

I agree. I think we have alot of ground to make up with this guy, but he would be a huge pickup for our poor o'line.

Take a run at Anthony Steen. There is no reason for that dude to go sit on the bench in Tuscaloosa for 3 yrs. He'd be on the field as a RFr in vegas.

The only sure fire thing we have on the o-line is Derreck Sherrod.

After that we can one of two ways:

Little talent, undersized, but experienced:

C- Looney (if he doesn't transfer)
LG- Brignone
RG- Jenkins
LT- Sherrod
RT- Saulsberry

OR we can go young, but with good size and high upside

C- John Paul Alford
LG- Tobias Smith
RG- Maybe Aubrey Philips if we're lucky, Templeton Hardy if we're unlucky
LT Sherrod
RT- Jackson

We'll probably end up doing some combination of both. And then there are some guys like Phillip Freeman and Dakota Merritt who may figure in some way form or fashion.
