After a little looking, if (and it is a big if, of course) Mullen ends up getting Evans, Ward, Alford, Brown and Autrey, MSU will most likely end up in the top 15-20 of recruiting classes (based on Scout.com rankings). If that were to happen, would the 'bad recruiter' label be gone, or just in hibernation?

But that list ain't happening. What does seempossible at this point would be dropping Alford, Ward or Autrey, and adding the other Brown. That's still a very impressive haul for us.

apparently from what I gather we didn't make much headway this past weekend with Autrey in respect to pulling him from the Derek Dooley Orange Peels and Ward doesn't seem to be giving us the time of day. If we get Evans and the 2 Browns though that would be a good ending haul on defense from HS and we still need to add a good JUCO lineman. Still doesn't give us the rush end though we need that Autrey or Ward could give us though.

goes where he signs on signing day. He will be a top round pick in the MLB draft and looking at too much money, but JMO.

a chance we can get one of the two prime DE recruits, but the odds seem to be very low to get both. Would love to be wrong. Love to be.

It's between us and Tn now, with a decision coming after their championship game this weekend. The fact that he cut down the list, "has decided he wants to stay closer to home," and suddenly gets the urge to make a decision directly after the Egg Bowl bodes well for us. Doesn't guarantee anything, but it's looking better and better.

Evans and James would be two good back-up DT's next year rotating in for experience...you hate to play them as Freshmen, but better on the DL than the OL

Powe sat out several seasons. I'm sure if James isn't arrested, eventually he can make it to starkville. I just don't see it happening this August like coach does. But all I know is he was kicked off his HS team and is a grade risk. I don't have the made up inside scoop

with him being in the situation he is in now- his grades have improved tremendously...as I told you in August- if Brassell can make it- James will be a piece of cake

i'm sure bo will keep me updated. unlike 2-3 years ago when he always said " i will not talk recruiting" now that's all he talks about besides sabear and petrino.
