This is the new normal in college football and why there is a position on most staffs to track players in the portal.

Those schools who do it well can augment their rosters or help rebuild quicker. Hopefully we can get some of the DL and LB needed to support the offensive weapons we are compiling.

It is not a portal......its a market. What will you pay for a 300 pound 5 star Tackle......bids?
The garbage pit that the NCAA ran for years has finally surfaced and the stink is atrocious.
Let us all hope those guys at Bama got their degrees..........for those that need clarity this was sarcasm.

Our 2023 class will be stacked and they need to get enough transfers and coach up the existing players for 2022. Riley will need to use all his talents to win 10 in 2022. We cant expect a national championship level team in the first year. Second year, will be much better. Third year, definitely.

We are going to have more competition in the Pac-12, with Oregon being better under Lanning. Christobal could recruit, but he is no visionary coach.

And Lanning is? Mario has extensive coaching experience, been tutored by Saban and other great coaches. Lanning has been DC under Kirby Smart who had a hand in the defense that was so good. Oregon is throwing the dice - you don't know how good a head coach Lanning will be. Again as you say, a good recruiter, but who knows on game day.

Do you know how long Lanning has been a legit coach, coaching a position, let along as a coordinator? Less than two or three years. And you think that Oregon will be better under him than Cristobal? Sorry, but are you high?

I've see too many people overselling Lanning and his staff, it's mindboggling.

He would be a nice add for that big back. He can do it all, and a great leader to boot!

The advent of the portal is really changing the landscape of college football. It opens up more opportunities to upgrade your program.

Its part of Riley's plan to stay ahead with innovation. They are calling it the Ground Raid. Its like the WildCat, but there is no throwing. Its going to be all the rage.
