Recruiting will pick up if we have a bowl season next year.

Playing the toughest schedule in the country didn't help, but it did prove that Mullen's philosophy will thrive with better talent and a better ooc schedule. I think with what we have and our schedule being easier we will bowl, and our recruiting class will be much stronger next year. Last year's class is the class that Mullen has to be successful with to attract better prospects.

we were able to redshirt some solid guys this past season
we will bowl and have a good recruiting class next year
keep hitting the jucos to fill certain needs

All losing Newton did was take us from a 9 win team to a 6-7 win team...we will be fine, continuing to build and getting on solid ground

If you take this board seriously, it can ruin your day. Mullen + our schedule will put us in a bowl next year and more big time recruits will come our way.

The fact is most coaches don't recruit well after a 5 win season. Most coaches do recruit well after bowl appearances. Even Croom did a good job recruiting after going to a bowl game. There's only so much selling you can do on future potential, these guys need to see that you can go to a bowl game.
