Since the mullen saga is finally over do you think all of these wavering recruits: dak, whitehead, price, and supposedly brassel will stick with us i dont see why they wouldnt

I was actually thinking he is the one that would be most solid. I mean of course there is speculation I just think if he went through all of that trouble he knew what he wanted to do and I really hope he comes he could be lethal in Dan's offense or defense if thats where his promise is but I think the fact that mullen did not go for the Florida job should show all recruits that he is here to stay I mean his wife's family just bought houses here for goodness sakes

that we keep all of them more than likely.

I mean, they committed for a reason, and no it's not to try to get their buddy a scholarship.

I could see where there could be some uneasiness on their part because of all of the Dan to Miami/UF rumors. But the fact of the matter is this: We have a bowl game coming up, those recruits will see us in a New Year's Day Bowl- and hopefully we will play well and win. Some of them may even visit the practices- I know Dak was there today, per BDJ, the best MSU recruiting website in the universe. Dan is about to sign a long term contract, which I think will help put their mind at ease, and then we have our big recruiting weekend in Jan.

We have a LOT of great things to sell with our football program right now that's black and white- a great atmosphere, wins over legit programs, great coaches, and hot women.

It just sucks that national signing day seems like 500 years away. But it will be here before we know it.

I think we're gonna be fine recruiting wise. I think we'll probably sweat a little after C. J. Johnson's performance in the MS/AL all star game. I think he's gonna get major pressure from some top programs going forward to signing day. Now, considering all things that have happened in the last week, if we had Tobias Singleton committed instead of Brassell, I think we could kiss him goodbye since Hudspeth to ULL appears to be a done deal.

changing over to the bears at this point. Alabama or LSU I could understand, but the bears are in serious disaray right now. We have a head coach that the national media loves with asst. coaches who appear to be really good. They have nutt, with his crazy faces and strange sermonsand asst. coaches who their entire fanbase hates and may not be there after february. Mullen has taken a team of players, many of whom weren't highly recruited at all and is headed to the gator bowl. Nutt "hepped" a heisman trophy candidate QB and wonfour games with him. Without Masoli they may have won two games. We know about the differences in atmosphere. Even when Jackie was having his best seasons, there was always a cloud of some sort (national media hated him for the most part) hanging over us and any atmosphere at that time was in spite of LT and "watermelon crawl" gurgling from the sound system. Our fans should pay attention b/c in my lifetime, things have not been better as far as the direction that we are in at this time and you would think that recruits can see it as well.

He is the one player we have nothing to worry about. I don't think we sign Brassell or Singleton. Hopefully I am wrong and we pull in both of them

As bad as Relf can be throwing the ball, he won't be the QB throwing to them. We are getting a QB that LSU and TCU were after and from what I am hearing from insiders, the coaches are high on Favre (I know I know). Diaz told one of the cigar crew that the guy can just flat out throw it. What do the bears have? They are getting Brunetti who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in H.S. Miller? I've seen the rebels say he is bad. I think alot of people are still suffering from "MSU syndrome" where we expect the worst.

it's due to the fact that his recruitment has been a complete mystery. I don't think he's been to one of our games. The day after he committed he backed off, then reaffirmed. Apparently, a few days ago he said he was still open or something. It's just been very "Pat Patterson-ish." I just don't understand why these WR don't want to come here. To take us to the next level, we need badass WRs. Currenlty, we don't have them. Therefore, they would more than likely come in and play immediately (if they're as good as advertised). While Relf isn't Joe Montana, his biggest obstacle is lacking the WRs to throw to.

from the South Panola community for Brassell to go to Ole Miss. It's stuff that's really hard to imagine- it goes over the line. Those people up there are really 17 up. No offense to the few sane people from Batesville.

I was really surprised that he committed as soon as he did to MSU. He should have done like Derek Pegues and committed on national signing day.

That said, I think he goes to MSU. He might as well at this point because otherwise he put himself through a lot of grief for nothing.

I would be worried about losing Brassell and Tobias only if Dan had left to take another job.

with some true stud wr's who can get open a little better, Relf would have an easier time. Regardless, Mullen has proven that he wants to throw the ball as much as run it and he has brought in three qb's now that threw the hell out of the ball in H.S. I imagine that Prescott would move way up the recruiting rankings if he were re-evaluated after the season that he had. Add that to the fact that Nutt will enter next season on the hot seat, with a worse team than this year's and there is no telling who will be coaching there two seasons from now (although, I wouldn't mind if nutt hung on for awhile longer). I will be baffled if we lose Brassell and even surprised if Singleton goes to oxford with the state of things up there right now.
