It's TUESDAY! Let's get this post started. I haven't seen EG play this year so my comments will be off the hip.I hadn't seen Forestview either and boy was I surprised. Regardless of each team's records this rivalry game seems to have a certain " hype" every year. Despite having a 2 and 4 record SP has the ability to light things up quickly. SP seems to be playing at two different levels. Depending on which team shows up Friday this one could get nasty really quick or EG could make a game of it . Raider fans dont say it can't happen. It did in Gastonia a couple of weeks ago. I personally have alot of respect for the EG football program. Despite having a more than horrible last couple years the athletes have shown alot of heart and played until the final whistle. Gotta respect that. I think SP is better than their 2 N 4 record and could finish the season strong. My prediction SP 31 EG 10. Thoughts???? RR

Here goes, no sugar coating. My heart is hoping for a good game, but the reality is my Warriors are not a very good football team. We play hard, but just don't have much talent (overall team speed being our biggest issue). We may be able to ugly up things for a quarter or so, too keep things close for a while. #8 is our only real play maker, but he may be out (he was injured last week and didn't play the 2nd half). I'll be there Friday night, it's mandatory! Go Warriors!
Raiders gotten lighten up, it's a down year, it sucks for Crest too. But those Chargers keep impressing me, mostly because I keep thinking, they're fixing to quit and lay down like they did on another coach a few years ago. Then I watch them play, and those boys are trying so hard to keep the Crest standard alive. I love this Crest team. Now, if all of shelby's supposedly 22 players on Crests team transfer back to Shelby, obviously my Chargers will be in trouble, but that's okay. These boys got this.

East Gaston and wrestling... Once proud... until their coach headed to prison for a very long time... sad and tragic end in so many ways.
Pretty simple answer. We have not recovered from Cramer and Mtn Island Charter being built. EG probably lost 60% of our feeders to those schools. We have help coming (from our JV team, we just need to keep them together and focused).
Remember egfan, I will always think EG sux. However, fair is fair. I respect you and all EG fans. It’s easy to get on this board if your team is flying high. It is a testament to show up when things are bad. I nominate you, with much respect, for the EG HOF.

Now she opened her eyes and took off...so I decided to settle for toothless, dip spitting redneck girl. Just got engaged last April. It suits this dumb Crest fan lmao.
I've seen more East Gaston games than anybody, so I should be in some kind of HOF (or mental facility). Thanks for the respect and ya'll suck too!

EGFAN you are the epitome of a true sports fan. To stand by a team the way you do is pretty incredible through thick and thin. Well there has really been very little thick I must say. You deserve to see an undefeated, state champion at EG. I just hope I am not alive to see it though, ha ha. Best of luck to you after this Friday.
