Reed Bailey and the Cats

[wildcatdon]

What is the latest here? Anyone heard? I think he has a do not contact tag. Hoping we can land him.

[blw]

He's probably the most popular Reed with the fanbase right now.

[Digger-Cat]

He likes UK, but I wouldn't Reed too much into it.

Haven't seen anything but with Gawth out I would love to have Bailey if we can't get a big time shot blocker. Maybe the best 6-11, big skill wise, left? Assuming we get Alvaro but would like to have five true 4/5 players not counting Lindebourg.

Should’ve never been as high as it was.

That whole scenario of this board saying Cal ruined him then him rocking arky gear was hilarious. No one believed that he loved cal more than us- even when he said it straight out his mouth.

UVA involved.
It was also reported Tuesday night that new Virginia coach Ryan Odom was visiting with former Davidson forward Reed Bailey, who was the Atlantic 10’s Most Improved Player in 2024-25. Bailey, a 6-10, 230-pound standout from Groton, Mass., scored in double figures in 30 of 33 games for the Wildcats last season, while averaging 18.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

We need to really good Pf’s.

I would take him. But not my top PF. Definitely behind Lundenborg (sp), and also behind Folgeuiras (sp).
I think Bailey brings a lot of what Carr did (not a good rebounder, questionable 3pt shooter, questionable defender), however Bailey does get to the FT line a crazy amount (which is good) so I think he probably has good/better ball handling/driving skills.
