I don't know but isn't that a felony? That's a pretty serious charge.

I tried to google it, but couldn't easily find it. But intent to sell a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school sounds bad. I would guess he may have to go JUCO.

I was curious and verified he is 18 years old, so juvie court is out of the question. If it's his first offense, and a good lawyer with his dad's money, he'll probably do okay. It does put his career at UT in doubt. Hermann is the new guy and probably doesn't need this hanging over his head. I could see it go either way. If I had to guess, he'll be gone from UT and headed to some other 4 year school.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Every new coach seems to have that first big disciplinary issue to deal with.

I couldn't be happier right now. Hope he gets dropped from Texas and has to scramble to play at some crappy school or go JUCO.

You see, some of you are the type who gets dumped by the girl a week before prom and you wish her well and hope that she has a great time with the other guy. I'm the type who prays she gets knocked up that night and graduates senior year as a fatter, miserable 18 year old single mom whose boyfriend already left town.

Yes he screwed up and yes I also believe we got the better recruit in Rafdal, but let's take it a bit easier on him. The kid is 17

While I definitely chuckled at your crude humor and though I'm all for being tough on people and holding people accountable...you're happy for his suffering?

You couldn't be happier that a kid made a mistake that could negatively impact his bright future? I really hope you're a troll because that is a pretty crummy thing to be happy about.

Being happy that Nebraska dodged a bullet is one thing. But I don't get being happy that a kid could screw up his future.

Not a troll. You're either with us or against us. But you decommit and I've got a special kind of dislike for you.

Whether ACL or drug arrest, I want your football career to be hot garbage the second you pic someone else.

You think Saban wants kids who pick Auburn to succeed? You think Urban Meyer want Tyjon Lindsay to have a great career at NU?

Sorry not sorry. Savage mentality.

No on the 'Rafdal is better anyway' train so soon. We don't know. All I have seen shows that some catches this kid made were amazing. But TE play involves a lot more than making catches so we'll see.

I am sure it will take time to sort through. We don't know if he is a real "pusher" or got involved in a pier pressure induced stunt because there as some Xanax laying around.

I get not rooting for a kid that decommits. But the idea of wanting anybody, especially a kid that just wants to go to the school/program/system that they feel is right for them, to get hurt or in trouble or to fail at life is messed up.

It sounds like Reese will probably be just fine without college if what other posters have mentioned is true (family income). But for a lot of these kids, football is a ticket out of a poor situation. And actively wanting them to fail is like wanting their life and promise to be taken away from them. For some of these kids it's their best chance to make something of themselves.

Wanting them to get hurt or get into drugs isn't a 'savage mentality' it's a ****** mentality and I am embarrassed for you and our fan base that you think that way.

Edit- there is a huge leap in Saban not wanting a kid that chose Auburn to be an all-American and Saban wanting that kid to tear his ACL. Say or think what you will about Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, etc, but successful people don't wish ill like that on others. And if they do they won't be successful for long. Look at what Williams did with Lindsey. His 'savage mentality' had him keep in contact and continue to be a good person to Lindsey after he committed to Ohio State. He didn't say, 'f- him, I hope he gets into drugs.'

A person wanting others to have their lives ruined speaks volumes about that persons own life.

Xanax is one of the often misappropriated prescription drugs because of its mood elevating effects. Lots of people abuse Xanax and more than likely the kid stole it from a family member's medicine cabinet. Odd that he would feel the need to gain extra cash. He may have thought he was doing a depressed classmate a favor. In any case, he'll likely play football somewhere and probably still at Texas. More than likely he'll get a pre-trial diversion and never have another problem again. Doing what he did though certainly raises some red flags about his decision making. I mentioned that I liked Rafdal better because I like his size and what I perceive his attitude to be. He is going to come in big enough to play early.

As for the $1300, obviously that classmate he was possibly helping out was probably a rich kid, too, so it was like me buying a friend a ten dollar lunch and then getting reimbursed.

Of all the drugs to sell, he chose a pretty boring one. It's a benzodiazepine, which is a depressant of the CNS.

Kids, let this be an important life lesson. If you're going for a good high, steer clear of this one...and stick with hydrocodone. Your party will be much more kickin'.

It's interesting that you chose conference foes for your comparison... I would bet that Nick and Urb wouldn't have minded as much as you suggest had the kid gone to UCLA or Arizona...

What is funny is that he uses 'savage mentality' which seems like a nod to K. Williams. The same K. Williams that 'lost' a recruit to a conference foe in Lindsey to Ohio State. But instead of wishing that Lindsey would get arrested or tear a major ligament, Williams continued to recruit him and eventually won.

Yeah cause my posts are of the tone of a guy who is here to make friends. I'll never meet a single one of you on this board or any Husker board I've been part of - nor do I care to. If somehow you equate Internet message board posts and friendship, maybe you're the one who is paying for companionship.

I can appreciate your response as you put some thought into it. Here's the deal though....

In your Williams example, Tyjon hadn't signed yet. He was fair game so of course Williams continued to show him love and work to flip him. And that was going to be true right up until signing day. You think Williams has love for Dez?

What's interesting to me are how badly Husker fans yearn for the Glory years. How do you think Wistrom and Peter treated opponents. How does our best player in the history of Nebraska football (Suh) play the game. How does Incognito treat people? Lawrence Phillips. Scott Frost. How many times have we heard "boy I sure wish we had a Tommie, Richie, Suh again. You know what? Those guys are some of the biggest jerks we have ever had at each position. They didn't care about people more than they cared about winning.

See our fans want to win and piss and moan about not winning championships but then they don't commit to having a savage mentality where they would step on their own mothers hand if she was on the other team and reaching for a fumbled football. Those guys I just mentioned would have. And we won.

People love Tysons record in the ring. His picture is listed in the dictionary next to the word savage. The second Mike stopped being Mike he lost badly.

It's rare when you can have it both ways. You either have that burning step on moms hand mentality or you dont. I don't blame or shame anyone here who doesn't have it. It is what it is. It's not for everyone. But winning results usually align with those who care very little about their opponent's feelings or success.

Took hydrocodone last night. Nothing "kicking" about it. Makes you drowsy and relieves pain. Very low addictive potential. Xanax on the other hand is an anti-anxiety mood elevating drug. I have never taken it but people get hooked on it because it can in most cases make you "feel really good about the world".

You have to chase the oxy with a beer (or two) to get the full effect. Pretty sure it's written on the label somewhere.
