A few months ago, we learned about that guy whose name escapes me who had spent years compiling all kinds of data on high school football around the state. I did not bookmark his site and now that I need it for something, I cannot remember either his name or the website. Can someone post it for me and of course that will give new people the chance to discover it all over again. Thanks.

The site is amazing. How much travel time and hours has he put in for this? If not for people like him, some of these records would be simply lost and forgotten. He even has the field or stadium name if they have one.
My favorites are the ones that have special notes. Like a coach in SWVA that won the region championship before state titles were a thing, and the players carried him off the field and he died of a heart attack while they carried him off.

Even though I'm sure it is a labor of love for him he could likely get some paid advertising on his home page to offset any cost he incurred in keeping the site up. Great information and history on high school football.

Close to 10 years. He told the SWVA Sports Podcast ( www.coalfieldsports.com/pod ) that he spends 16 hours in a weekend just updating the scores from just that Friday’s game.

If you scroll to the bottom of the pages he has a picture of almost every stadium. Hes traveled to all those stadiums and took those pictures himself.
