Regarding determination of home team...

We'll be the home team on Friday.

Of course I want that to be all that is needed, but my understanding of the way that it's determined says we would be home team again on Saturday if necessary.

The first step to determine the home team is to give it to the team who has been the home team fewer times. That gives it to us on Friday, and would give it to us again on Saturday (Oregon St. has been the home team in two of their three games).

There could be a special exception to that for this circumstance that I'm not aware of, though...

The whole determination of home team in the postseason is a debacle to me. The first thing that should determine home team SHOULD be seed. But, if the higher seeded team loses, they lose that right. Then, it should go to the team with wins. The only time, to me, that there should be coin flips, or other parameters inserted, would be in an equal setting. We SHOULD be the home team friday because we are team that has won and deserves it. Not because we have played the fewest home games thus far. That is just dumb. Its like trying to make a regional played at one team's home field 'even' to the other teams. No, the team that is playing at home and has the #1 seed deserves the home field because they won. rant over...
