a poster on a TCU site made the following arguments why Patterson should not make the jump to Auburn. How would you rebut these arguments?
OK here is my case for Gary Patterson to stay at TCUSo, why does Gary Patterson jump ship for a mid level SEC school? I dont see it, he is on the cusp of greatness at TCU.
- TCU is Gary Patterson's Program
- Legacy
- Legacy
- Legacy
- Bobby Bowden
- New Facilities
- Stadium Refurb Coming
- New athletic facilities
- Top 10 Program without BCS Pressure
- He gets 2 years to turn Auburn around
- TCU is a legit top 10 program
- Auburn?
- He didnt jump on Tennessee
- Not even close to a top 10 program
- Gary already has to recruit against Texas
- Why laterally transfer?
- Auburn is TAMU to Alabamas UT
- SEC is a great conf, but...
- TCU is much closer to being a legitimate BCS Team every year
- Auburn will never be Alabama
- LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee
- 4th or 5th every year?
- A decade to do what he has done at TCU
- Bowl Win brings first solid top 10 finish in decades
BSU, with or without Fresno St makes MWC a BCS conference in a few years, that is if we dont already have a playoff system before 2014.
With the fall of the PAC-10 and Big-10, MWC slots in behind the Big 12 and SEC as on of the top 3 conferences.
Unless a Notre Dame or USC comes calling I cant see a real step up for Gary.
Why leave a school that YOU built the program? Coach Fran got it rolling, but Patterson is the Coach that will have things names after him.
