Regarding "seriously"

I got some feedback a couple of days ago from my post "seriously" and there were some comments that I wanted to comment on. I understand that a lot of you are upset with the way our baseball team is performing this year (and the way our basketball team performed). The general reaction to my post was that as a fan and a money donor to our athletic program you have every right to ***** if we aren't living up to our standards. Yeah, you do have the right to *****, and yes, you are entitled to your opinion. I'm not telling you that you shouldn't be upset. I'm just simply asking, as a state fan, that you be smarter about the way you express your opinion. The point I am trying to make is that getting on here and bitching about it does absolutely no good. Our fans are becoming a cancer to our program. To put it into perspective, Renardo Sidney had absolutely no impact on Arnett Moultrie's physical ability, but I'll be damned if having to put up with his negativity didn't wear him down as the season went on. As a fan, a coach, a player, a parent, an athletic director, or whoever else get's on here to check up on what's happening with MSU sports, it can't do anything but harm our program to constantly see people posting about how terrible our teams and coaches are. It scares me to think about who all reads this board on a regular basis.

board is well known to be the best anti-MSU site on the net. Some of the regulars here will let me have it for that as always. Fire away boys, it's true whether you like it or not.

..is this similar to your personal financial situation?

Contract length: 4 years (expires June 30, 2013)
Guaranteed income: $604,841*
Base salary: $250,000
Shoe/apparel endorsements: $100,000
Supplemental pay from Bulldog Foundation: $254,841
Maximum incentives: $41,667
Performance bonuses:
>> Postseason participation: May receive up to $41,667 for extra service (2-month salary)
Academic bonuses: None provided
Other perks in contract:
>> Can receive annual supplement from baseball camp net revenues
Buyout: None listed for termination without cause.

This is Cohen's contract with MSU through June, 2013.

MSU has not made Cohen a multi-millionaire like it has Mullen; it has just made Cohen a lowlyvirtual millionaire.

If Cohen actually starts earning this, then we'll shut up. Or at the very least, if he finally puts a disciplined, competitive product on the field, we promise to quiet down a bit.

He is only earning roughly $8,401.13 per game.

However, he seems to be way more valuable in the wins than he is a liability in the losses (winning 58% of his games to date and 33.4% of SEC games). **

Man needs a raise instead of this silly talk of making a change.**
