I doubt that the MSU coaching staff even blinked at today's announcement. Remember several months ago that Mullen basically drew a line in the sand with TS, statingthat no scholly was being offered if TS wasn't serious enough to even attend a workout at State. All the drama was created by TS, and the recruiting sites ate it up. I'm not saying we didn't want him, but I can't believe the staff ever seriously thought he would come to MSU.

I read this and other boards pretty faithfully and this is the first I've ever heard of Dan saying anything like that.
some information that will sound like sour grapes, but I was told this info. from my "cigar source". I am going to be public ******* number 1 around here, but some stuff doesn't need to get out until after signing day. I will add that it isn't earth shaking news, but it is interesting.

I think he was "good" back in the day before BDJ where he could take his time and sort out stuff, but now that there is competition, he has to make predictions, try to break stories, and etc. and some- OK, a lot- of the time he ends up with egg on his face.
Also, if I was Gene, I would make him move to Starkville, or at least somewhere in Mississippi as opposed to Baton Rouge, LA. I think that's part of his problem- he has to be at least a little bit disconnected from the Mississippi recruiting scene being over there. Heck, even Picayune would be better than where he is now.
