he is a 3rd down back that returns kicks- he just happens to be the best in the NFL at that specialist spot

He cannot be an every down back.

The Saints made a great pick on Ingram

I thought with the pick - they would let Ivory or Thomas go and keep Bush. My Saints fan in me wants to keep Reggie.

I don't even get all this drama from Bush. Ingram is a between the tackle runner... something Bush's ***** *** has never done.

But if you legitimately think about it and take the name and emotion away, do you want to pay $11.8mil for 5 year averages of 4.0 ypc, 418 yds rushing, 428 yds receiving, and 5 fumbles?

I'd like to keep Bush too, because that sentimental puss is in all of us. That, and he still draws attention when he is on the field, and you never know what he can do. But, I don't think paying $11.8mil is reasonable for that.

I hope they're able to work something out.

If not,Thomas has pretty good hands too.

What an overrated Diva. Seriously, he is supposedly a "fox hole guy" that "brings the wood" and now he does that ****? Prick. I never understood thefascinationwith him. More famous than good...<div>
</div><div>Saints are better off with Ingram. He's a back with an obvious purpose. Not some sort of "change of pace/third down back" that you have design plays for.</div><div>

but my football knowledge usually reigns supreme, especially around here. I said Mario Williams was the right pick for the Texans and a much better pick then Bush. MeoCowstanza should remember- we went back and forth about it enough

than anything else. They needed something for the fans to rally around and Bush was prime for the taking. Looking back on it - I still like the pick. You can do a lot of things with Reggie where has to be accounted for. Saints have a completely different dynamic when he is healthy.

This theory that he puts crazy pressure on defenses isridiculous. He's Darren Sproles v2.0 yet Saints fans was to make him out to be Chris Johnson.

to Bush by a defense (warranted or not) than another skill player on the Saints roster - I have to say you are mistaken.

There is no doubt Bush isn't worth 11 million but he has a niche. Just he can't stay healthy.

I just said I understand why the Saints took him taking everything into consideration.

I think he is the best 3rd down back in the league and a really good kick returner- but you pretty much knew when he was drafted it would be hard for him to stay healthy.

Looking back at the 1st round of that draft, it was a weak year. About the only other guys they could have drafted that would have had as much impact would be Nick Mangold, Antonio Cromartie, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, or Vernon Davis

Ingram is going to be the bomb for the saints. If he stay healthy he will be a great pick. He won't have to carry it 30 times in that system...your not going to outrun many people in the nfl anyway. he breaks a lot of tackles, he quick enough, slasher.

for a touchdown on the first game the Saints played at home post Katrina (U2 n Green Day played Saints are coming) was worth every single penny Bush got. The excitement and rush that city got that night fueled excellence that led to a Super Bowl. Reggie Bush is a hero in New Orleans.

to getting Reggie off our payroll. He's probably the 3rd best returner we have on special teams and he makes way, way, way too much money. He'd be an incredible slot receiver, but he shouldn't ever take a hand-off again.

I am not a fan of Ivory, but Pierre and Ingram should make for a great duo.

As far as Sean saying he'll still be a Saint... dude just cut Shockey... the same guy he put his neck on the line to get when he got the NOLA job. I love the guy, but I don't believe that for a second.

Even if you're exaggerating, that's ridiculous. Were you paying attention in 2009?<div>
</div><div>Reggie is overpaid, but I'd still love to have him as a Saint. The more toys Sean Payton has, the better.</div>

great on screens but not really a power back either. Chris Ivory was better than both when healthy runs hardand is deceptively fast. If Ingram can do what Duece did then the Saints will be dangerous. I can't see Payton not wanting Bush but not for 11 mil. I disagree with using Bush on punts he stutter steps too much. But slot receiver is his natural position...i do like him in on goal line situations that quick pitch to the left is hard to stop.
