Alright everyone, here is what we know going into the last week

2B: The top 4 seeds will be Buckingham, Strasburg, Stuarts Draft, and Central. Order will be determined night of finale. Fort Defiance will be the 5 seed. And Madison is likely to be 6, but CC may have a miniscule shot to get there. Page County is eliminated, and SJ was ineligible.

Reminder, only 6 get in with Top 2 getting BYES

3C: A LOT won't be determined until next Friday, specifically order. 1-6 are in the playoffs depending on seed. The last 2 spots are between Fluvanna, Western Albemarle, and Spotswood.

1B: Sussex Central and Altavista will be 1 and 2 seed. Luray, Riverheads, and Buffalo Gap will be 3-5. 99% chance that Buffalo Gap is 5 seed regardless of outcomes Friday. If both win, Luray and Riverheads will be close, and one game for riders may determine it. 6-8 cant be decided yet. Franklin needs a win to get in.

The Essex vs. Charles City game scheduled on 10/3/25 has been changed from a "no contest" to a "forfeit." The points below reflect that update.

1. Sussex 22.33
2. Altavista 21.33
3. Luray 18.78
4. Riverheads 18.56
5. Buffalo Gap 17.6
6. Brunswick 14.56
7. Surry 13.33
8. Cumberland 13.11
9. Franklin 12.67
10. William Campbell 10.4
11. SMLCA 9.11

Yes it appears if Altavista beats Gretna, even with Sussex beating Surry, the Colonels would jump the Tigers for the number 1 seed. Altavista would finish with an average around 23.3 and Sussex would finish with roughly a 22.8.

If Riverheads and Luray win, who is the 3rd seed? Seems like it is going to be really close. I think Gap is 5 no matter what.

Ran a simulation that makes it incredibly close, probably decided by a tenth of a point. Riverheads I'm estimating gets another .4 to .6 off bonus points from their opponents, whereas I'm projecting .7 for Luray. Yet, Riverheads will get more from a win over Class 3 Waynesboro than Luray over Class 2 Page County.

Don't hold me to this, but ... my gut tells me that a Gretna win over Altavista gives Luray the nod for 3. An Altavista win over Gretna may push Riverheads over Luray for the 3 line.

Assuming both Luray and Riverheads win their final game, the points do look like they will end up very tight. If Altavista pulls off a win against Gretna, Riverheads looks to end with a 19.8 rating. Luray looks to also finish with a 19.8 rating. This would make things very interesting.

In the case of a tie, the head-to-head record will be used to determine the higher seed.
If there is no Head-to-Head or they are still tied, the Lot Draw will be used to break the tie.
So it could end up that Region B will have to use their fall lot draw to determine the #3 and #4 seeds.

Games to watch:
Altavista vs Gretna
- If Gretna wins, Luray should would outpoint Riverheads (With a William Monroe win over Rocktown they would have a 19.8 average to Riverheads 19.7) Riverheads could out point Luray with (A William Monroe loss which would put Luray down to a 19.6 average with Riverheads at a 19.7)
William Monroe vs Rocktown - If Rocktown wins over William Monroe, Luray would finish with a 19.6 average. Just below Riverheads at 19.7 (if Gretna wins) - A William Monroe win would put Luray at a 19.8
SMLCA vs Mount View - If SMLCA wins over Mount View, Riverheads would outpoint Luray even without an Altavista win vs Gretna. (Riverheads would have 20 points with a SMLCA and Altavista win. They would have a 19.9 rating with a SMLCA win and Altavista loss)

Hope this helps.

I would say it is a toss up if not a slight advantage to Gretna winning. Rocktown should beat WM. I have not clue on SMLCA and Mount View as both teams are having a rough year. Should be fun.
