Lafayette needs to win out to keep the 4 th position and possible move to #3. Doesn’t help Lafayette is playing winless Bruton per District rules. They will go 0-10. Key is last game against class 4 Warhill, currently 6-0 and 4-2 Poquoson.

Any chance that Lafayette can move to #2 with losses by York (Warhill) and Phoebus (Woodside), assuming we win out?

To be honest, it's wayyy to early to speculate any scenarios with power points and seeding right now. There's just too much football left to be played for everyone. I say lets revisit this topic in about 2 or 3 weeks. "The trees will have shaken by then".

Tabb is very good #8 even though they got thumped by Hopewell in their first game. Don't know anything about BTW, but PV-SH will get stomped by any of these other seven teams. Best hope for Lafayette moving up is a York loss, possibly to Warhill, and they obviously have to run the table as well. Would still love to see a Lafayette-York rematch.

District rules? What does that mean?

Bruton will play all class 2 and 3 Bay Rivers teams but not class 4 teams per agreement with Bay Rivers District and will substitute those games with smaller non Bay Rivers teams such as Arcadia, etc. There are 4 class 4 teams in the Bay Rivers. This was done due to limited players for class 2 Bruton to continue their varsity program and avoid playing the larger teams. It is a flawed idea as class 4 Grafton and Jamestown are near the bottom and class 3 York and Lafayette are at the top. Unfortunately it also hinders teams vying for a playoff seeding playing them with few points as they will be going winless like last year.

I think Lafayette and their fans would love to see a rematch, as well!

Yep/ Bruton played (and lost big to all) Arcadia, King William, West Point, Curritek and Northumerland. I’ve said it before let those that want to play football to choose one of the other three York Co schools. York HS is only 5 or so miles away.

Tabb is hard to fiqure out. Played York to an almost upset, played hard and very close to undefeated Warhill but fizzled against Hopewell and Lafayette. Will the real Tabb please stand up?

Arcadia as in the school on the Eastern Shore almost in Maryland??? WTF
I'll defend Arcadia and Bruton on this one. The teams on the ES have a horrible time finding enough games. It's just a fact, that other than a small handful of teams, they are going to make a LONG trip to some far away school. And the schools on this side of the bay don't have that problem, so they are reluctant to sign a deal with the ES schools.

My hats off to Bruton for agreeing to play Arcadia.

As a side note, here is a little story about Eastern Shore football. In 1965, the first year that Dinwiddie had a football team, they played Cape Charles High School for their final game of the year.

The boys were excited, because they were informed that Cape Charles was down to only 13 or 14 players, for this, the final game of the year. Victory #2 of this inaugural season was all but assured. The bus ride to the Eastern Shore would be harder than the football game.

Well..., It didn't go exactly as planned. The final score was Cape Charles 59, Dinwiddie 0.
One of the players told me that the bus ride home must have lasted 20 hours. He said that no one was allowed to utter so much as a peep.

Incidently, Cape Charles ended their season undefeated at a perfect 9-0.
