Warhill at home, wanting to rebound from the Lafayette loss and having a sound team will get to round 2.
Could be, I’ll be going to this game. The stadium is 4 minutes from my house.
Mobonape 1 - you called it right. I went to the game because I thought Warhill might be suspect/ they looked awful against us and didn’t look that much better against KF. KF has crisp passing, good running and just quicker and a little bigger. Warhill only scored in the 4 th Q and KF stuffed their running game pretty well. Nothing over 15 yards. At 18-0 the game was over. Warhill’s passing is only effective when the running game is working, not on its own.
Agreed @86CulpGrad. Many of us have said the same thing for years. One of the reasons is due to the number of teams in the Bay Rivers District. They are only allowed to play one OOD game thus they play only a few decent games a year. @Lafeyette has rightfully griped about the poor play from many if the teams all season. They need to revisit their scheduling for sure. I still think the Rams are a force to be considered in Region 3A.
Certainly Lafayette is a threat in a absolutely loaded 3a division. The 3a playoff field has the best comp of any of the classifications. Hopewell should have been put in B. Reminds me of 4B in 2017. There are state championship caliber teams that won’t make it out the 2nd round.
