Region A question

Is Amelia a surprise to anyone in Region A? My only reasoning is that they seemed to be short on numbers and didn’t look particularly good during the Jamboree they attended at Riverheads. I know some coaches do not really show much in scrimmages and use it more for conditioning. I am just wondering if this is scheduling or a very good coaching job. If I remember they only dressed around 24 players. I suppose if it’s the right 24 that would certainly be enough though, lol. Insight please?

I think they are tough to get a read on right now looking at their schedule. They beat a decent 3a Park View to open the season and have played 4 out of the bottom 5 in the JRD so far. Brunswick is not as good as years past, but they still beat them pretty handily. The last 3 games will tell the tale for their season, especially the finale against Goochland. So, I wouldn't say I am surprised , just waiting to see what happens in the final weeks.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I figured it was partly due to scheduling but I wondered how they were competing with lower numbers. Maybe they didn’t dress everyone that day either but that was what really made me curious.

I think they have 27 listed on their roster, so still not big numbers for sure.
