Looks like top 8 are pretty much set with the teams. What happens if all of the top four win out, meaning Central would beat Riverheads next week, would that give Central enough points to move past Clarke and finish as #1?

Still have Luray/Draft and Luray/East Rock to go as well so things could change quite a bit depending on those outcomes.

I think lee has good chance taking over the 1 spot. Look for Riverheads to right the ship and beat central.

Riverheads is 1A, so I don't think a win over them helps Central. Clarke plays Mason so a win won't drop them in the points. Clarke was helped because they scheduled several 4a and 3a teams early on and beat them. As far as overall record, Central is the leader imho, but Clarke takes it with the points. At least Central has won the district outright this year.

Appo , Giles and Glenvar would win this region!
Not so sure about that. I've seen Giles play once and 9 Shenandoah District games. IMHO, Giles is a notch above Gap and Draft. With Luray and Riverheads, they are fairly even. RE Lee (after I saw them play Riverheads) may be a matchup problem for Giles. So, I'm not even sure Giles would definitely win the Shenandoah, let alone Region B. I say that as a die hard Giles fan and don't know for sure. We're still comparing apples and oranges. Bull Run district Central is looking scary good and should be the best team in region B. We'll know more after Friday.

Giles beat Glenvar, so if Giles wouldn't win Region B, neither should Glenvar. Granted, Giles and Glenvar are fairly even and the outcome could be different if they play each other again. I'll add region D Graham to that equation as I think Giles could beat them if given another chance.

That brings us to Appo. The last two years they have been invincible and proved it. They are still very good, but as I've said all year, they are beatable. I think Appo would probably win Region B, but I'm seeing similarities between the Raiders and the Leemen. If RE Lee and Central keep improving, they might be better than Appo.

Actually not true, while Riverheads is a 1a, the way the points are calculated, with the 2 bonus points for playing down, Central would earn more points than Clarke does vs George Mason. For Central and Riverheads, Central would earn 32 points, which would ultimately end up at end of year at 34 (16 + 16 (8 wins for RH) + 2 for playing down. For Clarke and George Mason, Clarke would earn 26 which could turn to 28 if George Mason wins the last week.

Doesn't Clarke only have one game left wouldn't that make a difference
This Friday is Clarke's last game, they have a bye last Friday of regular season. Central plays Riverheads this week then Strasburg next week for their final game of regular season.

Thanks for clarifying. I never understood the points anyway!
