Region B

Many people thought it would be an all west finals. But the last two teams standing in 2A are from the former Region B.

Yet somehow Appomattox is classified as West. Lol. Will never understand how the VHSL decides geographics

Actually 3 out of the final 4 were from the old Region B. Only one from the actual Western part of the state.

From a geographic standpoint, Appomattox has no business being in the west region. Gap shouldn't be in the east region either, considering they are further west than the city of Staunton, which is pretty far west. It may not be SW but it is still west. Just my 2 cents

The VHSL is geographically challenged. When I see schools almost on WVA border in the east and Dan River and Appomattox in the west it makes me wonder if VHSL even has a map of the Commonwealth.
I realize they have to balance schools, but they could do it better.
