As far as I know, all four Regions in Class 6 have NOT officially decided to send 8 teams to the playoffs. I do know that this seems to be the most likely final choice by all four

With only 8 teams, you just have to believe that no more than a 6 teams playoff format will be decided upon for this region.

Pick your teams in order of #1 to #6. And keep this in mind when you rank your teams, VHSL points!
A 6-4 team could well be ranked #2 or #3 because of points.

So, who will you leave out of the chosen 6? Please name the #7 team that you think could slip into the playoffs if they surprise a couple of teams.

You just figured the folks from Franklin County are so far away they can't find you!

Franklin County has an asterisk beside it in the VHSL Regional chart. I can't find any reference to the reason for the asterisk. Do you, or anyone else know?

Only thing I can figure looking at VHSL minutes is Franklin appealed to be placed in Class 5 but was denied.

I though that too, but others appealed for various reasons, but no other asterisks. Strange.

Actually, Franklin County could be a little better than anticipated. They could very well win the Piedmont District this year over GW Danville and Magna Vista. They bring back a lot this upcoming season including a kid by the name of Kaleb Smith. May be the best looking athlete in SWVA. This is a team that could go anywhere from 9-1 to 7-3. Do they challenge Manchester/TD/CF?? Nah.. but they will be a good squad.
