MSU will have to beat someone elite to go to the CWS, no other way around it. The Top 8 seeds are just that good this year. So it really doesn't matter where they get matched up.
If I understand this by them matching us up with the #8 national seed then they consider us the top team in the tournament outside the national seeds. Would that be correct?
That would not be correct. At least not for the selection committee. ONLY THE TOP 8 TEAMS ARE SEEDED. For some reason that seems to be impossible for a lot of people to comprehend.
Somewhat unrelated, but St. Louis (as a school) is having an incredible year for an A-10 program. Didn't realize they were going to the tourny by way of winning their conference until I saw that projection.
Possibility they may send JSU to Baton Rouge. I would be shocked if they send them to Virginia like that guy projects. These guys putting out these projections are pretty clueless from what I can tell. They're just throwing some wild-*** stabs in the dark out there and generating page hits.
