Why does the 2-0 regional team become the visitor in game 6?

They go with the team who has been the home team the least. Its stupid. Higher seeds should always be the home team.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with it. The home team is already getting big advantages. It's not a big deal to let them swap the last at bat in an NCAA tourney. There needs to be some level of evening the playing field.

Well as we found out in multiple regionals across the country, the home team doesn't necessarily make the finals out of the winners bracket or even make it to the finals (right bruins and eagles).

I think the losers bracket finalist bats last in game 1 because the winners bracket finalist would prefer to bat last in the winner-take-all game 2 should it come down to that.

Not sure why they are so worried about evening the playing field? Heck, in the CFP they actually give teams 'byes' in the first round which I personally find stupid given there are no byes in any other NCAA post-season championship event.

I think the losers bracket finalist bats last in game 1 because the winners bracket finalist would prefer to bat last in the winner-take-all game 2 should it come down to that.

That makes way too much sense for it to be an NCAA regulation

2 (guest) vs 1 (home) - both were home once so higher seed gets it

After that it boils down to which team has been home more times, and if that's tied then which team was guest most recently. There is no option for the higher seed to choose which game to be home in.

The second round is the one that makes no sense. The #1 seed should be the home team in the second game if they win, regardless of whether they playing the #2 or #3 seed.

I feel like a #1 seed being the away team in game three if they've won the first two games is fine provided they play as the home team in the do or die game if it's necessary.

Seems like it should be:
first "round", highest seeded team.
Second "round" highest seeded team. I guess there is an argument that if the #1 seed is playing the #3 seed in the losers bracket, the #3 team should get to play as the home team.
Game 5 (i.e. loser of the winners bracket in round two versus winner of the losers bracket in round 2), I think maybe at this point who has been home team the least, with the higher seed getting a tie breaker makes sense?
First championship game, team that gets two shots at it plays as away team first.

There are plenty of byes in other sports. The men's soccer tournament takes 48 teams.

Even both basketball tournaments are 60 teams getting a bye while the other 8 play for 4 spots.
