Butler is second on the current streak with 198 and Tarboro is third at 168.
All time, Mount Airy is second with 236 - streak stopped in 2014 playoff game .
Third is South Point with 233 - streak stopped by Shelby in 2016.
10th grader Floyd has been starting due to the injury to Perdue. Perdue played well last night
I was looking at the NCHSAA record book and the record for career games played is 61 by Bo Jordan of Western Alamance (2002-2005). I'm thinking Reidsville's Trell Rankin can tie that mark if he plays Saturday. The only question: was he on varsity entire 2015 season, when Rams were 9-4? I know he was on varsity as a freshman for most of the year and was one of the leading tacklers. I don't think he missed any games in his career with injuries?

I currently live in the Greensboro area Reidsville is the real deal. Everyone is saying this is a down year etc I really don't see it or maybe the west is down this year. Just a little info Reidsville is a very Athletic team fast on both sides of the ball defense is pretty lights out skill positions very athletic and fast also, especially the QB #7 WR are fast and athletic, Spread Formation type team that does a lot of RPO. Reidsville reminds of how the old Bertie and Hertford County teams used to be. Good thing is Northeastern can match them Athlete for Athlete this game will come down to defense and special teams.
Can someone do a comparison/ give some info on Reidsville vs Northeastern. I haven’t really been keeping up with Northeastern. Thoughts on the game? Who may win? How do you think the wheather will effect this game ? Looks like Reidsville may be out of school at least till Wednesday
the fact that Reidsville went out in the 2nd round in 2015 cost Trell Rankin......He currently stands at playing in 61 straight games...counting this weeks game vs. NE..........Had the Rams made it to the finals in 2005 (barring injury) he would be 64 games............
Apparently the NCHSAA hasn't been told. I noticed a lot of their records need updating and I'm just talking about Reidsville records.
I don't know nothing about Northeastern but I did get to see Reidsville play and I did listen to the game that they Dominated East Rutherford if Northeastern can't throw the ball they have no chance of winning Reidsville is not that great on offence but there defence is liget you will not be able to run the ball on Reidsville I could not believe that Brevard tryed to run the ball on Riedsville especially after they had seen that Mr Heritage did not have much sucess on the ground but did have success throwing the ball the only way Northeastern has a chance in this game is too have around 200 yards passing You can't run the ball consistently against Reidsville defence they are to quick and there defence will create turnovers to set there offence up also you will not get much on kickoff and punt returns Reidsville special teams are great one more thing they have one of the very best coaches he has over 300 wins and there is nothing you can do that he has not seen he makes the adjustments that are necessary to win.good luck Rams us Mt HERITAGE fans are rooting for you Guys to win this game I'm going 32 to 16 Rams+
Yes, I'd say we throw 35% of the time. Our receivers are small but they have great hands and can jump really good. Our qb is very dangerous, he loves to run and he throws pretty good to. Freshwater has taken his game to another level, he's really been playing great in the playoffs. Our defense is much improved from last year and has been very impressive. We could use some improvements in our kicking game, other than that everything thing else is clicking pretty good.
First off reidsville is a east team. Second they are down. Not many seniors or juniors. They play 11 or 12 seniors. NE can't match them athlete for athlete... Have you see a NE game this year due to you living in Greensboro??? Did you just compare Bertie and Hertford CO to reidsville LoL geez get a clue
They have a stud DE in freshwater, who they play at RB. He's a beast, big body hard to bring down, not to fast. They have no kicker at all, no fieldgoals or PATs at all, they go for two every time. QB has good speed,they run alot of QB keepers and sweeps with him. His arm is nothing special, if you have a decent secondary should be okay with their passing game. No standout wrs or tightends. They use a RB as primary wr. Their defensive line is good, some big boys and athletic, their corners are real small and not a lot of speed in the backend. They bite on the playaction a ton, they stack the box every play. NE beat SWO in the second half beacuse we couldn't defend the pass, didn't all year, not sure why. Their wrs wide open all night long. Not typically SWO ball no adjustments at all. Slow down their running game and defend the pass reidsville will win easy. Their defense not to great, SWO back put up 200 in losing effort. Should a good game but reidsville will pull away in 2nd half 40 21
We have a lot of juniors. Not many seniors. The seniors that do play are vets though

Freshwater: 14 carries, 117 yards 2 TDs
Mercer: 7 carries, 52 yards
Thomas: 3 carries, 21 yards, 1 TD
Plus others carries.
NE had 164 yards passing and 306 rushing...with total offense of 664 yards!
