With his three consecutive Egg Bowl wins, and overall record at State, where does Chris Relf stand in the, um, pantheon?, of State QB's? Is he an MSU Ring of Honor guy? Hey, it's arguable. MSU Hall of Fame? Definitely. MS Sports HOF? I'd say yes. Am I putting excessive value on those 3 Eggs? It has been seventy years. Seventy years!<div>
</div><div>I think only his sort-of introverted public persona will hold him back when we look at his accomplishments a decade or two down the road, and maybe not having a signature moment against LSU or Bama. But with his Egg Bowls, the 9-4 season and his performance wearing No. 36 in the Gator Bowl, and with admittedly low competition from predecessors, I personally put Relf over all the QB's of my lifetime as a State fan from the mid-70's.</div>
