He just showed up on the CBS Sunday Morning show playing football for some team in France.

When was it that he came out of high school and chose sitting on the bench at Georgia over starting for us?

Easy buy. Garrett was targeted by LSU coaches early on in the recruiting process and even though Favre had a much more productive career, Chris Garrett has better size and arm strength.

he`ll do a great job on their scout team imitating Tyler Russell when we play them.

LSU has picked up supposed 4 and 5 star talent at QB, in Jefferson and Shepard respectively.
Problem is, neither one of them can throw the football whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised if Jefferson gets benched at some point, and even if he doesn't, Garrett will still have a year or two when Jefferson graduates, so he'll have a shot.

Conditionally on Les Miles staying at LSU, which I would say that his seat is at least starting to get warm down in Baton Rouge based on his bone headed decisions. If LSU replaces Miles with a NFL guy, that coach may prefer a more pro-style QB than Shepherd. Anyway, I think LSU will probably find someone better than Garrett between now and the time he graduates and whoever that is will beat Garrett out.

And on top of that, I believe that both Garrett and Favre start at QB ONE year max because of the QB situations at both schools, barring injuries. I also think Favre will be our holder on kicks as well, and thus more playing time than Garrett, hence why I am selling.

Is what would have happened if he did indeed choose to go to MSU. Who knows? He could have been a solid QB for us, or he still might have flopped and ended up at Delta State.

I was less than impressed with the QB development under McCorvey and Croom, so under them he may not have even gotten a chance to play in France.

There's no way Garrett will ever play significant snaps at LSU. He's immobile and his arm isn't that great. His biggest asset is that he's big. Other than that, I was never impressed with him. Hell, Bumphis was a better QB than Garrett.
