Remember I told you don't count Brassell as a Mississippi lock.....

No inside info, just my gut feeling. And the fact that it isn't Crooms recruiting. Needless to say, I'm thrilled about the commitments.

Brassell has good size, great speed and hands. His route running is average. Needs to improve as a blocker and learn to play better without the ball in his hands. But, that's not that unusual for HS WRs and easily correctable. The bottom line is he's a legitimately elite SEC WR prospect. Name the last time we landed one of those. I can't remember it. Maybe Co-Eric?

Market is just a football player. He's a legit 5'9, 170-175. When the pads are on, I have yet to see very many faster players. He's a good tackler and can lay the lumber, too. Has a real nose for the football, always around the play. And he's the unquestioned leader of the SP team this year. JWS made a living on guys like Market. If nothing else, he can be the next Kenzaki Jones, Ed Yeates, etc. of special teams.

Give Melvin Smith credit. Major coup on his end.

I have no idea how many stars Market does or doesn't have (I'm guessing not many), but I've seen him play 3-4 times on TV and he looks like a hell of a player to me.

Brassell's recruitment? I know we have heard alot about Market wanting to come to MSU, so that isn't a surprise. But when it comes to Brassell, not even State fans had any hope. I guess Melvin has been recruiting him very hard and we just haven't heard about it? Has Mullen been pretty active recruiting Brassell? I know we have heard of Mullen going to MC games, but nothing mentioned about him at SP.

Hooray, another sub 6-0 170-180 lb guy that can run. When are we going to land 6-3 210 lb guy that can run? Big and fast, not just fast.

We've had a long parade of little fast playmaker guys. It would be nice to have more of them. But when we play the LSU's of the world, marvel at their big tall fast guys and think that team is just in a different league. Well, I want to be in that league.

I see Singleton is closer to that size than the other players named here. We need that guy. Bad.

I think if you want to compare Market to anyone, it would be Tim Nelson. I hope he is half the player Nelson was.

Who cares how tall he is. If he can play, suit him up. Tim Nelson was one of the best tacklers and hardest hitters we've had in the past 20 years and wasn't a blade taller than 5-9. Market is a solid pickup.

in person this year and is simply not impressed with them. I think that he sees that no matter what Nutt tells him and the others, they are NOT a passing offense. I think the Bama game just showed him and Singleton how bad things are, and will be, at OM in the near future as well.
