and thought about the fact that:
1. the manager that traded him tried to convince him it was a legit trade;
2. the team that traded him had the bats stamped "John Odom Trade Bats" but argued it wasn't a publicity stunt;
3. the guy was throwing off all kinds of bad vibes;
4. he apparently died completely alone.
And the first thing I thought of was Matthew 24:12, "And because wrongdoing will be increased, the love of most people will become cold."
