and I seem to remember reading some animosity towards this coach from State fans on this board but don't know if that is true. Can someone fill me in with a quick summary of why he is not liked amongst Bulldog fans. I just don't remember him ever coaching for us in the years I have been following state. Thanks.

You're probably thinking about Ron Cooper. Most people liked Brick Haley. He had the reputation of being a very good recruiter.

not ron cooper either. no one liked ron cooper because he sucked, not particular animosity.

you all are thinking of John Blake. The a-hole who got in trouble at north carolina. He coached for us in 03 then went on to bad mouth us for years, much like the scum of the earth Rick Trickett down at FSU. John Blake cost us Ndamakong Suh. He has done nothing but spew venom about us ever since he left here.
