That is a fun trip down memory lane

That was a fun team to watch. And that video makes me miss The Hump.

It was a lot of fun to watch Jarvis play basketball. His ability on the defensive end will be what most remember. But his improvement offensively over his time at MSU was a great thing to watch progress.

Many here

used to cuss Barry all the time. I could never figure that.

I'd kill to have him, now. He's one of the best to ever play guard, here.

Man the Hump used to be rocking. I didn’t miss many back in those days. That was a great game.

I thought he was a good shooter. Shooters have streaks. That being said he was a hustling player.

Vanardo was the one I would love to have right now. I loved watching him play.

both of them guys were solid. Dee Bost is an all time MSU great too.

I remember the announcers (maybe Dee's freshmen year) saying he wasn't very highly recurred. Only like a few D1 teams wanted him. Am I remembering that correctly?

He's still playing pro ball in Europe. He's 17'n Bulgarian now and plays on their national team...

He was a great HS football player as well in North Carolina. Went to Hargrave for a year and led them to an undefeated national championship. He was a good recruit. 4 star I think. Had offers from Cincy and some ACC mid levels.

Well damn, my memory is way off. I do remember that he was a football player. Without looking at wiki I think he was a QB and that contributed to him having good vision and being a good passer

Another under achieving Stans team, but good memories.

Loved varnado, but he was no dampier.

Man that was great to watch. Incredible defense

All i could think while watching was that if today’s fouls were called, that clip would have lasted 20 minutes and they would have been playing 4v3 or something by the end of the game

Loved aome barry stewart.

Seeing the 26% from 3 and 56% free throw % pop up shows the faults in that team, notably ravern jacking 3’s just like tyson carter does now, whether he’s hitting them or going 0-fer

I believe he was both Mr Football and Mr Basketball for North Carolina as a senior in high school.

As you noted Varnado was no Dampier and although I also really liked Stewart, he was no Bowers or Wilson or even Frazier. He just wasn’t as athletic. Stans had that team playing a little above their heads. We had shot blocking but lacked size overall and couldn’t lock down defend in man to man.

I loved Phil Turner. To this day that guy continues to get overlooked by our fans. He played his *** off every game and was a huge reason we won the SECT. Stansbury had him playing the 4 at only 6'4. That's how tough that dude was. Then Stansbury kicks him off the team right after his junior season. Not even sure Stansbury told him before kicking him off the team. I remember there was some shadiness behind that situation on Stansbury's part and Turner was super pissed about it and should have been. Stansbury was such a dickhead to certain players. Didn't matter what they did they were never gonna be starters in his eyes only bench guys while Stansbury let his boys always start and be the laziest 17ers on the team. **** like that is why Stansbury got fired. Let the laziest druggies run the team and the guys busting their *** and doing the right thing rode the back of the bench till Stansbury kicked them off the team or they were forced to transfer. Stansbury was trying to be some type of pimp on the thug and drug squad. Being an actual basketball coach left sometime right after 2004. Funny thing about bringing up old memories for some is you only remember the good things. Not me.
