I have been away from the computer the last day and a half and havent looked back to see if anyone has heard any updates. This may sound like heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend but I got a text last night from that doesnt sound good.

I have a friend who is a state alum and still has fairly close contact with one of the head trainers with the basketball program. Text said last night that Renardo will not suit up for State. Said there is no end in site to the NCAA clearence deal. (We all knew that). He said that Sidney is so out of shape that its still all he can do to get up down the court in practice. Said that if something doesnt break soon that Sidney will likely not return in January and will try to go to Europe until combines and draft time comes near.

This may be something thas has already been posted or NCAA could clear him in time to play thursday, but from what i have heard inside the program it doesnt look good.

I think this goes back to Jackson. I know he has his playbook on how these things normally play out but too much interest and hope was invested into this guy for it to come down to this. He shouldnt have waited as long as he did as far as finally turning over documents. If it damns the player, so be it.</p>

was that the ncaa had already determined sidney's punishment, including how many games he is suspended. but, part of his punishment is that they are not telling him yet how many games he has to sit.

i don't believe it for a second, but that was the rumor in starkville this weekend. at least the one that i heard.

given that even if it was true there is no way we would know it unless we had a spy inside the NCAA office which I very much doubt is the case.
