I think
that is a BS reason, too. Everyone...EVERYONE experiences slumps. Just because it happened in a three week period is no reason to eliminate him. I'm not suggesting he should win the award, but to eliminate him from the top 30 is insane. The guy's going to be a first round, top 30 pick, according to many. While he did experience that slump, he was still top 5-10 in most hitting categories in the SEC, on average. The timing of his slump should play no part, to me. I mean what if he had a bad week the first wee, the 4th week and the 6th week? It's the same as having 3 bad weeks back to back, to me.
Don't get me started on Frazier getting screwed. I can understand him not getting first-team, but to be beat out by White and Reynolds is a complete and total joke. There is nothing, nothing, that suggests those guys had better years. NOTHING. I'm not sure what pissed the other coaches off, but for them to disrespect him by putting Reynolds and White ahead of them is a complete and total joke. Frazier had a better year (overall) at the plate than those two in just about 90% (or greater) of the hitting categories.
