Agent's Take: The holdup in signing top 2023 draft picks, and sticking points for Bryce Young, others unsigned
Joel Corry also suggests it might be best for C.J. Stroud to let the No. 1 pick sign first

You can get away with putting a LB on Waller, good luck with that strategy on 26. Barkley is also the best back the Giants have at picking up blitzes. Barkley is worth every Penny they gave Jones. In fact, without Barkley Jones would have gotten back up qb money. So if the Giants lined Barkley up the same way they will Waller, he'll be a better TE? Similarly, if he were lined up in the left tackle slot, he'd be the best"pass blocker?" Both dubious propositions. Now, if you simply want to maintain that Barkley should get paid more that what the Giants are offering, you'll get no argument from me, but that's another kettle of fish.
I don’t think a LB can cover Waller. He is a very gifted athlete for his size. You can get away with putting a LB on Waller, good luck with that strategy on 26. why?So Jam… does Barkley play for the Giants this fall? This has gotten nuts. If you pay Jones you have to pay 26.
I would bet #11 from the Cowboys could cover him, easy!I don’t think a LB can cover Waller. He is a very gifted athlete for his size.
That’s not what #11s job is though. That’s not his role. He’s a trained assassin with 1 target. I also think you are underestimating Waller. He’s a freak athlete at 6’6” and runs polished routes, while being a deep threat. Despite having guys like Henry Ruggs on the team, Waller was the best receiver on the Raiders and it wasn’t even debatable.I would bet #11 from the Cowboys could cover him, easy!
Your comparing apples and oranges. Line Barkley up as a tight en on every play and see how he fares. You can get away with putting a LB on Waller, good luck with that strategy on 26. So Barkley is worth $40mm a year? I'm sure there are three people that believe that.
True, but of the three none are in a position to write Barkley the checks. Well, maybe one is but what do I know.It only takes one though….
He’s the best back in the NFL… and would look great in Steeler Black and Gold!Your comparing apples and oranges. Line Barkley up as a tight en on every play and see how he fares.

I am sure you are right! Barkley is a 150 yd Sunday guy. Receiving and running. Pay himThat’s not what #11s job is though. That’s not his role. He’s a trained assassin with 1 target. For the record, I don’t disagree with anyone that Barkley is the most dynamic offensive weapon the Giants have. As others have said, Jones should be advocating for him to get paid and locked up more than anyone. Just saw a stat, Jones is 44/17 TD/INT ratio when Barkley plays. He’s 16/17 when Barkley doesn’t. However, this is a business and there are little to no emotions from the teams in these situations. I hope it works out in his favor. He deserves it.
With that I agree. No idea why you want to line him up elsewhere. He’s the best back in the NFL… and would look great in Steeler Black and Gold!
I have stated this before: as a person that watches most NYG’s games, every defense, completely flocks to everywhere that Barclay goes. Without him lining up on their offense, NYG will be completely impotent.Your comparing apples and oranges. Line Barkley up as a tight en on every play and see how he fares.

They signed a bunch of free agent wide receivers to one year deals this off season. That means they know they have to pay Saquon for a few years.I have stated this before: as a person that watches most NYG’s games, every defense, completely flocks to everywhere that Barclay goes. Yes, because in recent years the Giants have had so many offensive weapons.I have stated this before: as a person that watches most NYG’s games, every defense, completely flocks to everywhere thatBarclayBarkley goes. Without him lining up on their offense, NYG will be completely impotent.
From the article:
Or a Left Tackle. See, I can do that too.Maybe Ekeler should have worked to become a backup WR.
At 5'10" he would have requires some surgical and/or chemical enhancement.Or a Left Tackle. See, I can do that too.![]()
Sounds silly, right? At 5'10" he would have requires some surgical and/or chemical enhancement.

Joe Mixon takes pay cut to stay with Bengals
Mixon can make up to $8 million on his restructured deal.www.nbcsports.com
What would happen if the NYG remove the tag ?
Probably that’s why he is working out so hardI wonder if maybe he's just had enough of football and decided to go for the big payday with retirement as plan B.
I wouldn't blame him, he's had his share of injuries and he's made enough money to live on for quite some time.
stick with plan A until it's time for plan BProbably that’s why he is working out so hard

Some of "us" seem emotionally invested in the outcome, odd to say the least. It's not like the Giants are poised for a deep playoff run either way.As we are the ALL-KNOWING. BOARD., are we effective agents too? Asking for Saquon.

At the very least, you cast a long shadow over this forum.I’m not an expert on NFL negotiations horse-a$$*, but it seems that a possible outcome here is that Saquon sits out the 2023 season. It seems I read that somewhere. For many here, the concern is probably more that he doesn’t play than he doesn’t play for the Giants.
* I guess I can’t add “NFL Agent” to my otherwise impressive interwebs resume.![]()
Here’s the problem with that. What does that do for him??
