USM fan here...but Congratulations to Mississippi State on the game. Y'all have an outstanding team and should make some real noise in the SEC this year. Looking at your schedule, I only see 2-3 losses (Texas A&M, @LSU, and @Alabama). I'm not saying you can't win any one of those, but those are probably gonna be the toughest...and you could possibly sneak up on Alabama and/or LSU for a win . I don't know how to view aTm...but they did look pretty good without Johnny football. Hopefully y'all can steal one, two, or maybe even all 3 of those games...I'll sure be rooting for the Dawgs. I don't know if y'all are like us in the past, but we could beat Alabama or Florida State this week and lose to UAB the next...hopefully you don't have let downs on games you're suppose to win . Also, I would also like to thank y'all as fans for not trashing us after the game. Y'all could have bashed and gloated but overall you didn't. We have went through turmoil here @ USM since 2011 and trying our best to fix it and rebuild, and I believe y'all have seen that. Also, Dan Mullen could have scored more and really embarrassed us...but he called the dogs off..but made a statement with a good solid win. Both coaches, Monken & Mullen showed class by being complimentary to the other's program!

appreciate that. fwiw, i thought the southern miss team seemed much improved over what i imagined a 1-11 team the previous season would look like. keep playing hard like that and the ship will right.

Wish I could see what you saw..haha. Our 1-11 team last season was the worst team ever put on the field by USM and possibly the worst ever by a college program...our 2012 squad had talent left over from Fedora, but that doofus Ellis Johnson couldn't coach worth a crap. I know y'all might not be able to visualize how bad of a coaching job he did...you would have to have been there.....but believe me, he was the absolute worst hire in the history of sports...and I'm not saying that because we went 0-12 with alot of talent that finished 12-2 in 2011. There were so many other things we saw...and his space cowboy staff he put together had no energy about them at all. I know y'all though Croom was bad, but Ellis Johnson would make Croom look like a Nick Saban.

You're D-line played fine, and that true frosh RB made yards out of nowhere against our D-line, which says something. Best of luck the rest of the way
