I haven't stayed there in years, but I don't recall much being out that way on the island. Buy some fresh seafood at Joe Petty's in Pensacola and do lots of cooking. It might be worthwhile to drive to Pensacola for one night to find a good restaurant. If you stay in Orange Beach or nearby, go to Cosmos bar and Grill. Top notch food there.

Juana's Pagodas

Need some help on where to eat in or near Navarre beach. Seafood or anything else good.

Not much in Navarre but I like that it's on the water and there's a good atmosphere there in the evening. When I'm traveling through there on business I try to stop in at least for a drink.

We always drive over to Peg Leg Pete's in Pensacola Beach for oysters. It's about a 20 minute drive from Navarre Beach.

Not much. Drive down to Destin or Pensacola/Gulf Breeze. Or go to the Shrimp Basket for all you can eat shrimp. Not great shrimp, but tons of it.

There was a great place a few years ago right of the bridge bay-side, can't remember the name. They moved to Destin anyway.

Here's a list:

I used to live there. The others are right. There isn't much there. We would always drive 15 minutes down the road and go to Ft. Walton. Granted, I moved about 2 yeas ago so I don't know what else has popped up since then.

Just got back from there this past weekend.

Need some help on where to eat in or near Navarre beach. Seafood or anything else good.

Nothing in Navarre. Go to Pensacola and eat at Red Fish, Blue Fish...drink a Yuengling for me. If you go to Peg Leg Petes get there EARLY!!! 2.5 hr wait when we showed up at 6 pm on a Thursday night.

Destin: AJ's is good and you need to eat at the Donut Hole for breakfast or brunch. Or hit up McGuire's

Drive the 20 mins to Pensacola Beach:

Redfish Bluefish has a great view, good place to have a beer but the food is sub par in my opinion.

Peg Leg's is good, particularly if you like oysters.

But The Grand Marlin is my favorite. Really good atmosphere, can eat inside or out for a view of the Sound and I always get a good meal there.

Totally forgot about the Marlin. Also, a great place.

East River Smokehouse is supposedly good BBQ. I've never had it, but a lot of people seemed to like it. At least when it was in a shack on Hwy 85. Now it's right on 98 by the bridge in a fancy new building.

A really good restaurant in between Navarre is Johnny Huston's. It has great burgers, wraps, shrimp, pizza. Whatever you want. Also check out Native Cafe for lunch and Hemingways for Sunday Brunch. For upscale seafood The Grand Marlin is awesome. All three of these places are in Pensacola Beach.

I have never been to the one in Navarre but there used to be one in Fort Walton Beach and it was pretty good.

It is California Mexican but it is always delicious. There are about 3 around Pensacola/Navarre. The fish tacos are really good.

I can second this. That place is awesome I just couldn't remember the name of it.

The Cactus Flower is good.

New York Pizza Department is good pizza.

"The Fish House" in Pensecola is really really good.

The Front Porch was a Dive but decent food.

Helen Back sucks to me. And other stuff is just meh.

mcdawg22 is correct on Johnny Houston's. We would go about once a week. The burgers are good and they have a few TV's hanging around. The beer was always cold.

We stayed in Navarre a couple years back and loved it except that there were no good places to eat nearby. Helen Back has decent pizza if you want to do takeout and eat in your condo one night. Otherwise, you will probably have to drive to P'Cola or to Ft Walton/Destin. We actually came back from Ft Walton yesterday and the one place I always keep going back to is McGuire's in Destin (or P'cola). Fresh brewed beer (and root beer for the kiddos) and great food are reasons enough, but it is really reasonably priced. Go early, though. We went on Monday at 5:15 and were seated immediately. When we left at 6:15, there was probably an hour long wait.

Cactus flower is good Mexican food with a Californian influence.

There is a small (very small but very good) sushi restaurant east of the bridge on hwy 98 called the slippery mermaid.

East river bbq was good in their original location. Not sure about Their new location. More options in destiny and Pensacola.

If you're going to Helen back it's gotta be on Okaloosa Island. The food is just ok but it's the atmosphere on the island that makes it a fun place.

Spent a week in Navarre this summer

We ate at East Bay Crab House in Navarre and enjoyed it.

Our favorite restaurant in the area is Flounders in Pensacola.... we ate there twice.
