Well, it was not the first time we missed a week. It won't be the last. I promise.
I have to admit, this has been a miserable season for ranking teams. There just seems to be a clear top 5 teams. Then there is sort of the rest, which are close enough that controversy is little.
I'm not going to mention last week, and my introduction of the ties. I've decided that I'm going to allow ranking members the ability to do so. It just adds something different. Last week, several of us voted ties, this week, just Godfather. It has not really made a difference yet. That said, i think it will really change a few things up next week.
This week, we finally get an ESCC team, too. Welcome M-Wrist
I'm jet-lagged as hell. So analysis is reduced tot a sentence this week. It's just the way life goes.
Wait...what the hell happened to LWE?
9.91 - M-Wrist: That week 1 loss to Rice looks better and better...esp if M-Wrist takes down LA this weekend.
9.82 - Bourbon-A: Really? over M-Wrist? Due to an upset? I expected more from the panel even if Bourbon -A is undefeated...Bones told me they are horrible....In any case, Bourbon-A get more than one sentence because this is their inaugural DSR appearance. Congrats.
7.73 - Hins-C: Honestly, I don't care much for the 248/111 PF/PA ratio...they're just numbers, but I'm wondering whether OPRF with their 286/125 pulls off the W this week.Either way, I see Hins-C winning three in the playoffs.
--From Here down, rankings are the same as last week...just in case you were wondering--
7.36 - P-Ridge: Amazingly, here is P-Ridge's avg DSR this season: 7.36, 7.64, 7.73, 7.82, 9.45, 10.91, and 10.00. Clearly we had no clue what we were doing week 1 with the 10.00...it should obviously have been 11.31.
6.45 - P-Tine: Do you believe in the offense enough, that is the question. It's that simple. They've put up 313 this season. The 21-14 win over fremd makes me nervous. Fremd has Dean's favorite cheerleaders, or did three seasons ago.
5.82- Neek-Val: In the end, looks like the Neek is the toughest in the DVC. I'm just not sure the DVC was a tough as we thought it would be this season. Neek finishes with a tough week 9 against a two loss GBN team that is solid and can score...i love this week 9 game, second best on the slate IMO.
4.00 - Bro-Rice: This team has scored 388 points and now plays the team with the second best defense over the last 5 seasons (G-Dub the #1 D, IMO). Best game on the slate. I'm taking LA because Tommy is hot.
3.18 - Aych-Ef: With 358/84 PF/PA this season and once again being undefeated, it's hard not to put HF at 2...but there is no longer a signature win on their schedule. Semis....LA...great game...
2.27 - B-Side: here you go captian, I'll lead off with an absurd defensive stat: B-Side's given up only 41 points through 8 games. Four shut outs in the last 5. High given up this season was 28 to Mizzu's number 1 team - also handing that team their only loss this season. Other voters can give you their opinion, I gave my 1 vote to LA simply because they've had a more difficult total schedule. that said, B-Side clearly has the better single win. The problem is, I just don't know a ton about Mizzu football like i used to.
1.09 - El-Ay: El-Ay's single biggest lead at the top spot since week 1. Wow, what a treat we have week nine...kudos to the CCL for mixing up the sched this season...we got a doozy to send us out of the regular season and into the playoffs.
Best of luck to all the 4 loss teams busting their *** for one more win!
Here's the ballot:
