I noticed that the women who were "plain Janes" back in the day held up better than the beauty queens who were best described as "frumpy"
Can confirm by my own experience... Some of the extreme hotties from HS now fall into the rode hard and put up wet category.

I told my son, don't sleep on the nerds coming up in high school. Especially if you ever see a redheaded librarian with glasses, lock that shitt down early.

...we had a great time. No drama, fussing or fighting, no one got drunk and showed their azz, all in all a great weekend with a bunch of fellow old farts. One thing though I noticed that the women who were "plain Janes" back in the day held up better than the beauty queens who were best described as "frumpy"
Class Reunions are Sanctioned Drunken Debauchery Events - chalk this up as a missed opportunity!

Seems to be the theme at the ones I’ve attended.

Yep and another thing I"ve noticed is that some of the classmates you thought would be super successful either weren't or were only moderately successful and then you have some classmates that you didn't think would ever do **** with their lives who made something of themselves.

That’s one thing about you old farts.. you have your class reunions and make a weekend out of it. Our class had a 10 year that a quarter of the people showed up for, stayed a few hours, and that’s it.

Heck, we didn’t even have a 10-year. 20-year is next year and I haven’t heard a peep from anyone on it.

They’re a little more excited to make it to the 40th than people are to the 10th

2026 will be 55 years for me. I know they had a 50 year Reunion and I think it was a 1 day 4 hour event. I believe like 30 were able to make it out of our Classes 128 Graduates. Of course they combined it with the classes of '71-'73 so about 65 showed up. I didn't make it of course because I married someone 10 years younger than me and I still don't trust many of the Male Classmates around her. šŸ˜Ž

FB has made reunions obsolete, IMO.

If you want to find the "successful" guys.....find the husbands of the "well kept" ladies who used to be "plain Janes" . It usually costs somebody some money for for our older ladies to "hold up" real well.
