His career was over when he got caught on the hot mic and camera being critical of Obama. If I remember correctly, the other person with him looked mortified. He knew the mic was on and camera rolling, but there was no way to save the situation.
The part where he goes to the control room is great.
Some of you from South MS may remember this from the summer of 2000, it is what comes to mind when I hear Jesse Jackson. Happened not very far from me at the time.

He spoke twice at the MSU Union during the election of 1984. We happened to be in the building eating lunch both times, so we went over and listened. The first time he was campaigning for himself. MSU was very conservative back then, but everyone was respectful and let him speak. The second time was after Mondale won the Democratic nomination and he was campaigning for Mondale. THAT time he got drowned out by chants of "FOUR MORE YEARS." He was quite hacked about it.
It is absolutely wild the lengths that a lot of people from Mississippi. . . regular working people. . .people who had grandparents struggle through the depression and fight World War II. . .will go to to crap on somebody who is on their side on damn near everything as long as that somebody is black or may in some minute way also help somebody who is black. As someone else said in another thread, "Mississippi gonna Mississippi."
You wanna paint Jesse Jackson as some selfless warrior “on our side on damn near everything”? Then explain why he’s worth millions while the communities he claims to champion are still broke? Explain how he turns every “tragedy” into a podium and every podium into a payday? I don’t hate him because he’s Black. I call him a race hustler because he’s damn good at it- one of the best ever. He mastered the game. That’s why I had him as the 2 seed and making into the championship against Obama. I think he is or was jealous about not being the number 1 seed- and that’s why he wanted to cut Barack’s nuts off.

Many see Laura Loomer, DHS' recent claims, Stephen Miller, Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, and Benny Johnson as race baiters. Many see those people as truth tellers.
Many see the BLM movement, random sociologists, and random historians as race baiters. Many see those people as truth tellers.
I did laugh at my inability to come up with a bunch of current left leaning race baiters off the top of my head. I guess AOC and Ilhan Omar would be examples that many outrage slurping conservatives would cite as race baiters? Mostly though, it seems like race baiting on the left is predominantly random commenters on various social media whose dumb extreme view is suddenly viral and elevated into the social conversation.
When I think of race baiting on the left, its Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson from like 30 years ago. Looks like I need to update my list of lefty race baiters.
Using the word “Bonkers” in a race-bait definition/reply is akin to wearing roller blades to the Espys.

I would have voted for Colin Powell or Ben Carson or Condoleezza Rice if they got the nomination.

It was funny for a few reasons and I laughed when I scrolled to it.
I don't give a damn what the color of his skin is (but he sure did). I never liked the fact that he was an obvious grifter. Meant very little of what he said. It was all about the money for most of his life.
I sympathize with his family and those who loved him, like I would any human being. But I didn't respect him at all.
The Rev came to Sanderson Farms in Hazlehurst in 1994 not long after I had left my employment their. The workers were attemptin to organize, and he came to rally.
You do realize the "people from Mississippi" have the highest percentage of African Americans of any of the 50 states, correct?
Gee, you would think if all us racist people treated each other so badly in this state that there would be more race riots... But I haven't heard of any around here lately, have you? We seem to live side by side just fine in my town. And in my neighborhood, in fact I have a friend couple right next door to me who happen to be black. We haven't shot at each other yet, and I've been in the house 10 years. In fact, we haven't fought at all, unless you count my guy coming over to my garage and me beating his *** in ping pong just a couple of weeks ago. (He was a former track all american in college, but I think I proved I still had a little athleticsm in the tank.)
You weirdos on the left are the ones who are obsessed with skin color. That is patently obvious to anyone with a brain.
He had strong ties to Farrakhan including some racist slurs for Jews on different occasions.
Totally get that he was an advocate especially for the black community but let’s not make him out to be Jesus either.
