Agreed to go to the La La Land with the wife last night. Figured I'd build up some brownie points with golf season right around the corner. I'm not too proud to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Ended up with the best of both worlds on this one with a happy wife, and an enjoyable movie experience, even though my man card might gone until I catch a Fast and Furious marathon on Spike. Anything you all do with the significant others that would lead to a revoking of a man card, but you also enjoy?

Revoking man cards? Who cares what the hell anybody else thinks? Do what they'll you want to do in life as long as your not harming anyone. Why are you seeking approval of complete strangers for something both you and your wife enjoyed? Who cares what anyone else thinks if it made you and the Mrs. happy?

Don't know how much this qualifies but go get yourself a pedicure. Best "treat yourself" decision I've ever made. It's pretty much a massage for your feet/legs for only $20.

Meh.. no need to get worked up. Just a fun question for a male dominated board that likes to flaunt its masculinity. Appreciate the response though

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I've seen Manchester By the Sea, Hidden Figures, Hacksaw Ridge, Arrival, and Hell or High Water. Want to see Fences and Moonlight also. Manchester By the Sea gets my vote as Best Picture so far.

IMO Arrival and Hacksaw Ridge were not worthy of Best Picture nominations, and I would have enjoyed Hidden Figures much more as a documentary, and not the standard Hollywood format. It sort of ruined it for me. Or maybe it was just Kevin Costner. He's good at ruining movies.

If you get a chance, you should definitely see Lion. For me, its a close second to Manchester this year.

Thanks for the recommendation. I forgot to put that on my list. Usually the flicks up for Best Picture don't disappoint.

Only have seen Hell or High Water, La La Land, and Arrival. All of them are tremendous, but Arrival was my favorite of the 3. Awesome score, and loved the ending. But yes, not your typical Oscar flick

It is like getting a new pair of feet. Loved every second of it.

My dad gave it a 7/10 which was shocking. He usually sleeps through most movies. I would assume its a fantastic movie.

Do long (and very thorough) massages using her favorite lotion after she gets out of the shower fall under this category? If not, I got nothing.
You might get more cooperation if you lowered the lotion down to her in a bucket and said, "It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again."

There are few instances that deserve man card revocation.
Some are :

Acting scared of a spider.
Refusing to stomp said spider.

Hiring lawn "care" service to mow your lawn instead of doing it your damn self or paying a neighbor kid to do it.
Your lawn ain't that important.

Having to borrow tools.
If you have to borrow a hammer or a wrench put a damn dress on and don't lie and say you lost it. You never had one.
Men have backups for backups.

I have more, but my wife needs me to unload the dishwasher.
