I'm going with the under. Think he has to get to at least 8 wins next year. Personally don't see 8. With the schedule coming up, 6 would be a miracle. To get 8 he'd have to do something he's shown he's incapable of, beat ranked teams.
Guessing if he doesn't reach at least 8, he'll be run out of town. If the current AD won't pull the trigger then he needs to go too and the next AD can "clean up the mess" as Ruhle would say.
1. Boosters and big donors will have to be very pissed...that is a big unknown
2. The guy they complain to will have to care about Nebraska football. Guys in those positions, especially at Nebraska may not care about the football team as much as the overall athletic department. The rest of the sports are doing quite well.
3. The AD will have to care about winning football games. Some ADs, ours seemingly, are much more into the athletic department finances and fiscal health than winning. Our fiscal health is fine, the stadium is mostly full, over revenue is high, the AD compares favorably to other big 10 schools. We are good enough.
4. The AD will have to crunch the numbers and find that Rhule is costing 5-10 million a year by being ***. If we had a slightly better coach it would have to lead to a lot more money...not likely. The AD isn't going to expect to hit a home run.
5. Donors give 80 million a year...if he hears that this may drop by 10 million a year for the next 5 years, an 80 million buyout isn't so bad.
