I guess you're old enough to remember the LB debacle in '91. Hell, even man-made bully mascot got his *** kicked by the AF kung fu falcon beast that night.

I remember that game well. We outweighed them about a hundred pounds a man and they whipped our line every play.

Cold, terrible night. Had a fifth of Beam in my giant coat and still didn't help. And those little 17ers ran everywhere.

I remember it as well...had sideline passes and arrived early. While watching warm-ups our group agreed we were in for a long night. Isn't that the year someone said they knew how to get a team up for a bowl game? I was glad for us to be there, but they whipped us from well before until the game was over.

i was a student then. i was at that game and thnking we could win it. we didn't show up, or were just happy to be there. then i got to watch ole miss play them in the lb and watched om run up the score like they had money on the over.

The Kang had a simple philosophy....play defense and run the football right over you. If the line was injured or not into the game, we were simple to stop because we were coming right down your throat. Definitely no innovatve philosophical strategies. Smash mouth at its finest, which works if you are bigger, meaner, and more motivated than the other team.

That's cool. Makes me feel good for them and realize how far we have come as a program. If they keep up that intensity and our guys show up it could be a good game.

My neighbor and I were back on I-55 South before the 4th quarter started.

COLD and getting out butts whipped was all the incentive we needed to leave early!

It's turrible when you get old as dirt. You remember every dam thing, 'cept the important stuff. I think I was more disappointed in that game than when I was when we got way up on NC, and then Natrone Means kicked it into another whole gear and chewed us to pieces.

I tell ya, these Rice boys are as excited as our guys were to go to the Sun Bowl back in '74. We hung with Nebraska for a while, but they were just too big and fast. Them corn fed bastids was tough.

Our guys better not have their heads up their ***, or it won't be pretty. I think the momentum of the last two games, and the dramatic return of the Dakster spells Doooooooooooooooooooooooooom for the Ricers.

I was in 6th grade. Coldest game I had ever been to until the 1992 Ole Miss/Air Force Liberty Bowl.
