I’ve watched RB all season, and certainly would love this result, but I think this is going to be a very close game. I think Monmouth line is a little bigger than RB so I am not sure how well RB will be able to stop Monmouth run game. Super impressed with Monmouth controlling Bloomington Central run game last week. Powe is a great athlete and they held him in check (93 yds). Also Coach Noll needs to make sure the kids are ready at kickoff. RB has started sluggish a couple games and I don’t think they can afford that against MonRose! This is the best team they have faced since Coal City week 2. Very much looking forward to seeing this game.RB by 3 scores.
I hope you’re right!I have been watching RB most of the year as well and I think they win by 2-3 scores and control the game start to finish. Noll will have the kids ready, and this is a MUCH different offense than Monmouth saw last week again BCC. Yes, BCC had a couple D-I players but the offense they ran looked like something I see in the youth games I watch. And the BCC defense was not near as good as RBs. BCC was a talented poorly coached team. This week, they get a really talented team coached by the 7th all-time winningest coach in IL history. Oh by the way, I think R-Bs stud RB is on the cusp of being a D-1 guy himself, still just a junior. RB 28-8
I just listened to the podcast, and I think the VFTW guys are really underrating the RB defense. They’re talking like MR is just going to bully RB up front, and I don’t see that happening at all. RB’s front seven has legit talent and they’re physical. MR has size, sure, but RB isn’t small by any means. That’s where this game is going to be decided, in the trenches, and I don’t think RB gets overmatched up front the way the podcaster made it sound.@viewfromthewest opinion of RB vs MonRose

Definitely think it’s the “homer” take on the game. I think what RB may lack in size will be made up for in speed, technique/talent and excellent coaching. Just want them ready to play from the jump and not get behind. Should be a great game! Would love to see Byron in Richmond next weekend!I just listened to the podcast, and I think the VFTW guys are really underrating the RB defense. I think that is fair. The coaler line had some size and they were athletic too. Week 2 was a long time ago but RB obviously wasn't overmatched. They also got a guy back from an ACL midway through the season who has been making an impact. He did not play week 2.Based on the close final score, I assume that CC and R-B matched up pretty evenly up front? @STIX815 @RB_RocketFan
